The Yale Club of Shanghai is comprised of Yale University alumni in the Shanghai area.

Last Saturday, the Yale Club of Shanghai, in collaboration with Columbia University, organized the inaugural Ivy Basketball Tournament in Shanghai. All proceeds were donated to the Yao Foundation (named after Yao Ming) to support sports programs for children in rural areas.
As the coach of the team with the highest average age, I am pleased to announce that the Yale Shanghai Team secured 3rd place among six teams. Despite a one-point loss to Columbia in an overtime nail-biter, we made a strong comeback, defeating both the U.C. team and the Global team!

Our charity concert on Nov 20th. It was an almost full house event and we raised over $14,000 for an eye care charity at Xiang Ya Hospital (established by Yale China 120 years ago) in Changsha. The concert featured musicians from Yale School of Music and children of Yale alumni in Shanghai.
