After winning the top prize at the 2020 Dreamcatcher Cup, Tsinghua SIGS master’s student Wang Jing and his team took home the National Bronze Award in the 12th "Challenge Cup" National College Student Entrepreneurship Plan Competition with the project “AI+Mueller microscope early cancer diagnosis system”.

The early diagnosis system uses a Mueller microscope to collect polarization information of pathological slices, then processes data using AI and big data analytic methods, enabling quantitative diagnosis and quick detection of early stages of cancer. Congratulations!

As the COVID-19 pandemic is radically redesigning the traditional way of education, industry experts have been sharing their perspectives on the post-pandemic higher education.

Prof. Hamish Coates, from the Tsinghua Institute of Education, said: “The best predictions place around two-thirds of 2030 higher education within a five-hour flight of Singapore, which means all education will be much more Asian.” Additionally, he recommended that Asian region should lead the way in setting up a system for a regionally aligned set of transnational accreditations .

Tsinghua SIGS student Sou Kit Wa and his team have won the Silver Prize at the 6th China International College Students' "Internet+" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition! The team combines big data and AI technologies with traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis and treatment to develop precise skincare products and services.

A team from the Tsinghua SIGS Intelligent Robots Laboratory have recently won the Innovative Design Award at the first “Tsinghua University Guoqiang Research Institute Cup” Global Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition!

"Searcher", designed with a dual-swing arm crawler chassis and a dexterous manipulator, has the ability to traverse rugged terrain, stairs, puddles and other complex road conditions. It is also equipped with infrared perception, SLAM mapping and force perception, and has autonomous navigation and remote control capabilities.
