If your battery has problem, and you need to check if the cells are ok or not, you can check each cell voltage from the BMS. Use the voltmeter to check the voltage between two adjacent string wires; all the voltages should be the same, if there are different voltages amount them, then this string cell group would have problem; Find this speficial string cell group, measure each cell by the cell's positive and negative to find the defective cell.
If you want to repair the battery, kick out the defective cell, find the same brand and same model cell, check the voltage of the cell, if the cell voltage is lower than the other cells in the battery, charge the new cells to the same voltage, then install it into the battery pack.
Note, if your cells are genius cells, and your battery BMS is with balance, you can try to charge or discharge the defective cell so that it is the same voltage as other cell groups, then plug the BMS to charge the full battery, then the BMS will balance the cells, mostly the cells can be balanced to be normal.
