Treasures Deep Within.

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels… 2 Corinthians 4:7, NKJV

TODAY'S WORD:

You have many treasures buried deep inside of you—gifts, talents and abilities that you don’t even know about yet. But the greatest treasure within you is the Spirit of God. You carry the treasure of God in an earthen vessel! He’s also deposited treasures on the inside of you that are tied to your purpose. By His Spirit, you will discover that God has fully equipped you for everything you need in this life. We have to draw out those treasures inside of us by what we speak and what we believe. We stir up the gifts by praying in the Spirit. Don’t let those treasures lie dormant. Seek God and follow His leading. Dig deep, stir it up and move forward in the destiny God has in store for you!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Father, thank You for choosing to live inside of me. Show me the treasures You have deposited within me so that I can fulfill Your purposes for me all the days of my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.

When you praise

Today's Scripture -

Let the high praises of God be in their mouth… Psalm 149:6, NKJV

Today's Word:

David showed us that sometimes all you need to defeat the enemy is a small stone. The same is true of praise; sometimes all you need is your praise. Praise is a weapon. All through Scripture, you see how praise breaks chains, praise confuses the enemy, and praise makes you powerful. When you have praise coming out of your mouth, you are unstoppable. The enemy cannot keep a praiser down. Just think of Paul and Silas in Acts 16. As they sang praises at midnight, prison doors flung open and shackles fell off.

Your praise may not seem like much, but when you praise, angels go to work. When you praise, the Creator of the universe begins to change things in your favor. Most of the battles we fight are not physical; they’re spiritual. Praise is a powerful weapon. When you praise in the time of trouble, it’s even more effective, because the enemy expects you to be negative and complaining. Praise will cause you to defeat giants in your life.

Prayer for Today:

“Father, thank You that You are worthy of my highest praise and that You inhabit my praise. Thank You that You reign over all the circumstances of my life and that You are with me. As long as I have breath, I will praise You and believe You are defeating the giants in my life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

A Great Reward

Today's Scripture:

Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. Hebrews 10:35, NKJV

Today's Word:

When things happen that aren’t fair, when doors close that don’t make sense, when you’re doing the right thing but the wrong thing keeps happening, you have to trust that God is still in control and that He knows what’s best for you. He doesn’t always take us down the path that we thought. Be patiently confident. Your time is coming. He’s already lined up the breaks you need, the open doors, the right people, the healings. It’s already on your schedule.

If you don’t cast away your confidence, God will richly reward you. You may have gone through some disappointments, but He’ll make things happen that exceed any of your expectations. The reason He closed those doors is because He has something better. Don’t be discouraged by what didn’t work out. Stay in faith. The right opportunity is on the way. Now don’t get talked out of your dreams. You haven’t seen your best days. God is going to do something you’ve never seen, something that will catapult you to a new level.

Prayer for Today:

“Father, thank You that when I can’t see a way, I still know that You have a way. Thank You that my confidence is anchored to You, and that You will richly reward me beyond my expectations. I believe and declare that my time is coming and is right on schedule. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

The Heart of God

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. James 1:27, NIV

TODAY'S WORD:

In Luke 10, Jesus told a parable about a priest who didn’t stop to help an injured man. After all, he might get his white robe “unclean” and have it interfere with his religious duties. He had all kinds of excuses. But true religion gets dirty. True religion doesn’t hide behind an elaborate office or fancy clothes. It goes to where the needs are.

When you get down low to lift somebody up, in God’s eyes, you can’t get any higher. The closest thing to the heart of God is helping hurting people. Don’t be a passerby who’s too busy in your career. Don’t just be someone who feels sorry for others. God is counting on us. When you take time to restore the broken, encourage them, wipe away their tears, let them know that there are new beginnings—that’s the religion Jesus talked about. True religion doesn’t judge people to see if they deserve our help.

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Father, thank You that Your heart is to help hurting people. Help me to have Your heart and not be so busy that I don’t stop to help others. I want to encourage others, to offer them my help, to speak a kind word, and to lift them up when they are hurting. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
