We gather to celebrate, we gather to support, we gather to party!! Our communities are stronger than any struggle. We collected all together what it was needed to complement funeral services and get him a nice tombstone. Our eyes focused on the joy of living! RL Boyce legacy hill country family gathering at Red’s Juke Joint in Clarksdale, MS. Thank y’all!

Last night we gathered as a family to celebrate and to raise funds to complement expenses on our brother RL Boyce funeral services. Our offerings from my band and me, included also my plane tickets and expenses to put this event together. These are some details to correspond the trust and love the community have put on us to get this done.
$1.894 from memorial concert
$2.737 from Blues Foundation
$4.571 TOTAL
$2.500 coffin and funeral service.
$1.075 grave plot, hole digger and pastor.
$1.056 Tombstone.
We did it together. Thank y’all. Receipts are included and we will list those who contributed through PayPal. Community is stronger! RL would have loved to see us together celebrating his legacy, sure he did.

Dear friends in PA and Right Coast area, we just got back from tour in France, and we have a show this Friday night Nov 17th in Lancaster at Zoetropolies. I’m also running memorial and fundraiser event for RL Boyce in Mississippi on Thursday, and for Friday I managed to get a flight back to Baltimore MD arriving at 6:46pm, my schedule is tight, is there anybody able to gimme a ride straight to the club from BWI airport? You’ll be our special guest, we cover gas, offer you drinks and love more.

Relatives all over the world and RL Boyce fans, our hearts ache to inform that our brother RL is struggling bad with his health. The soulful living legend of the Hill Country, and one of the sweetest persons on earth, has advanced lung cancer and seems there’s not much earth medicine can do for our friend’s body now.
We’re inviting everyone to join us and support a fundraising concert next week in Clarksdale. Let him know he has friends who love him, and gather together to celebrate his life and legacy. Let’s make a contribution to his family for a some peace of his mind.
