In love with the game As a child, Sharon Butler admired dragonflies. On Tuesday, she wore a dragonfly necklace to the New Mexico Military Institute to watch her friends play tennis, another of Butler's enthusiasms.

Spring Flex League Sign Ups on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 from 4-6pm at the Tennis Shack at Cahoon Park. Singles, Doubles and Mixed. ($5/person for doubles, $10 for singles) If you didn't renew your annual membership, you can do so also. ($15 individual or $20 for families)

Presidents’ Day Scramble is on! Weather is warming up! Courts are dry. See you at 11am at Goddard.

Elections for three RTA board positions will be held on Saturday 2/18 at Goddard HS courts. 11am-2pm.
We have three vacancies to fill for two-year terms. Wonderful candidates willing to serve are:
Brian Bamman
Steve Huebner
Meagan MacCornack
Carla Williams

Member will vote for three to serve. If you can’t make it to Goddard next Saturday, please contact Jon Do to vote. You must renew your membership for 2023. $15 for an individual and $20 for families. Families get one vote in the election. 😁

There is a Regional Tennis Scramble on Oct 15 in Alamogordo starting at 10am. Registration is required by Oct 9.. USTA Members register today at bit.ly/snmrs

Regional Scramble Format

All players must sign-up in advance of the event. The cut-off is October 9.
The format is based on a draw. There will be two flights, a beginner (2.5-3.0) flight and an intermediate + flight (3.5 and above). Players will only play within their flight. Each player will be given a draw/score sheet indicating which player they are and what courts they will play on.
Each match will be 4 games. After every match, players will be assigned new partners based on the draw.
All players will keep track of their total games won and lost.
The draw will be constructed to give everyone the same number of games to play.
Championship and Finalist trophies will be awarded to the man and woman in each flight that won the most games.
