What are the Icaros?🎶

They are medicine chants that the Shipibo Shamans use during ceremonies.

Icaros usually summon the power of a specific plant or group of plants.🌿

The shaman starts weaving a procedure using them in different parts of the body/energy/soul to cleanse, align or protect.

Icaros can also be used to soothe a wound or remove energy that is stagnant or doesn't belong to the person. 🧘🏾

Icaros can also summon ancestors or animals, to guide or protect the space.🐆

The calling usually comes from a deeper place within us and eventually becomes hard to ignore. This will feel and look different for everyone. It is uniquely communicated and understood. 🧘🏾

Here are a few ways this may show up:

✅A visit from Ayahuasca in your dreams or
meditation practice.
✅An energetic pull toward plant medicine and a conscious community
✅Curiosity or longing after hearing about the existence of the medicine.
✅Strong impulse to learn and work with plant medicine as you seek transformation or healing.

Fear of the challenging emotions in the healing process it's normal. Even when you have a strong desire to come on retreat, unhealed parts of yourself may be threatened by the idea of drinking Ayahuasca.

Integration is the process we go through in the days, weeks, and months after an intentional Ayahuasca experience.

During this time, we are making sense of the content of our experience, processing the profound insights that came up, as well as any significant memories and emotions that surfaced.

We are resolving things on the somatic (body) level and working to bring our external lives into even deeper alignment with our souls.

Integration periods ask the questions: So what? What does this all mean? And now what? Who am I really? Think of it as if during a plant-medicine therapy, some seeds were planted. Integration is the process of nurturing those seeds, every step of the way from seed through to harvest.

Integration doesn’t happen in isolation; it happens in relationship. For this our team of loving facilitators are always available for supporting you in your process, before and after a retreat.
