Last weekend, I had the privilege of participating in an amazing fly-in with a great group of educators in beautiful Antigua. Our group included universities, high school counselors, Education USA and IEC’s. Thank you and for this incredible weekend full of details where we shared experiences, learned from each other, and reconnected with long time friends while making new ones. The common theme: our passion for international education! Thank you for strengthening our beautiful community!!!

Honored to have hosted the JCT 4U Central American Tour, powered by Susy counselor luncheon! 9 universities, 3 tour leaders and 13 school and independent college counselors networking and building community! St Edward’s, Marist, IE, SCAD, Delaware, GW, UIC, Columbia College & Hult

Final stop in Spain: Saint Louis University Madrid! This US university offers all the flexibility of liberal arts education in a campus comprised of 3 buildings in an area surrounded by other universities. They offer small classes and the possibility of starting in Madrid and finishing in Saint Louis if your major is not fully offered in Spain.

Better late than never! Here are my final summer visits in Spain! For students interested in art and design, IED offers a large variety of majors in its 2 campuses in Madrid. I visited the Palacio de Altamira, an XVIII century architectonic jewel IED calls Point 1. Students travel between this urban campus, just a few steps from La Gran Via and Point 2 which is located in a suburb and houses most of the labs. I found a busy campus where I got to see students working with all their creativity in small classes.

Another of my summer visits: Universidad Francisco de Vitoria! With a beautiful residential campus located in Pozuelo, just outside of Madrid, I found good balance between campus life and all that Madrid offers. The Colegio Mayor, cafeterias, sports facilities and a catholic identity complete the in-class experience of its 20,000 students.

Interested in design and technology? My next stop was UDIT- Universidad de Diseño y Tecnología, formerly called ESNE. It’s location in the quiet Chamartin neighborhood provides a less intense urban experience. Their 2 buildings house 11 majors, including creative programs like fashion design, animation, interior design, and video game design. They also offer technological programs like Data Science and AI and Software Development Engineering. Small classes and workspaces provide a very hand-on experience.

Continuing with my summer campus visits, my third stop in Spain was the impressive IE Tower in Madrid’s financial district. The tower’s modern design exemplifies the university’s values of sustainability, technology, innovation, entrepreneurship and diversity. It feels corporate yet collaborative at the same time. It is a very urban experience and it contrasts with the town feeling of the Segovia campus.

International ACAC 2023 Conference at FIU! 🤩 Learning, sharing, catching-up with good friends and this year presenting alongside amazing professionals… could I ask for more?

My second stop was Universidad de Navarra’s Tecnum in San Sebastián! At this smaller, specialized campus I got to chat with the admissions department and with students who were happy to share stories on how they have coped with the rigorous engineering curriculum and their ways of enjoying the beautiful city, while prioritizing their studies.

During the month of June, I got to visit 8 university campuses in Spain!!!🤩 I started with the Universidad de Navarra’s gorgeous campus in Pamplona, where despite the emptiness of the summer, I found the warmth of the students and staff that greeted me and showed me the different “facultades”. I’ve been wanting to visit UNav for a long time and it was what I expected and then some more!

We will demonstrate how the account rollover works and dive into specific sections of the application you will need to complete after the rollover such as completing the FERPA waiver, inviting your recommenders, using fee waivers, to submitting your application.

We are all members of InternationalACAC and IECA and are current or former school college counselors.
