Welcome to Cx Singa, a chapter of Club Experitas dedicated to the success of the Malay and / or Muslim community of Singapore - in our heartlands, in cosmopolitan cities all over the world as well as in isolated locations.
Acknowledging that every community is unique, our aim is to drive progress across the 14 LifeScape domains according to the community’s own definition of success. We do this by:
- maintaining a community knowledge management system comprising of reference points and forums
- cultivating communities of practice and subject matter experts
- establishing a community-wide cross mentoring and coaching infrastructure and infraculture

Bismillah.
Assalamualaikum. Our present project is in the form of a digital platform called ULTRAx (Ux). The first initiative at Ux, SMMC Heartlands, allows us to strengthen ukhwah between Singaporean Malays/Muslims living in the same precincts in Singapore. You will be able to know and interact with people living in your respective neighbourhoods.
The first thing we can do in challenging situations is to organise ourselves. Once we have established a tight social relationship with our neighbours, we can accomplish greater things, In sha Allah. This is one way we can enhance our social capital.
Do spend a few seconds to click and register. Join the neighbourhood group you have a stake in. It works like FB groups, only that we can improve how it functions to benefit our community. Share with us your challenges by posting via the feeds or discussion forums. There are problems we think impossible to solve by ourselves but actually, we can collectively help one another and improve our chances. Nobody is immune to anything. We may be doing ok today but tomorrow only Allah knows.

Capitalizing on community strengths of Singapore Malays/Muslims.
While our primary aim for the long term is to build on the assets of our Singapore Malay/Muslim community (SMMC) through digital innovation, our immediate purpose is to help in a process called spiraling-up - reversing the downward spiral of loss to an upward spiral of hope. We design our solution based on Community Capitals Framework (CCF; Flora & Flora, 2004), a conceptual framework from the field of sociology that identifies seven forms of community capital. These are cultural, natural, human, social, financial, political, and built capital.
