👉Cyprus has recently passed legislation regulating lobbying, which requires individuals who want to engage in lobbying activities to register in a lobbyists registry that will be administered by the independent Anti-Corruption Authority and also report their meetings within six months.

👉On December 9, 2022, members of the board of the Cyprus Association of Lobbists and Public Affairs Professionals (LPAP) attended an event organised by the Independent Authority Against Corruption, regarding the views and concerns of young people and non-governmental organisations around the phenomenon of corruption.

🗣During the event representatives of our association specified that the proper institutionalisation of lobbying and implementation of the existing legislation will contribute to the fight against corruption and that the association is ready to assist the Independent Authority in this difficult task.

🙌The purpose of the seminars is to inform stakeholders in public decision-making processes about the basic provisions of the law voted in February 2022, as well as the rights and obligations arising from its implementation.

⚖️With three laws that were enacted on 14th July 2022 the use of personal mobility vehicles (scooters) was regulated in Cyprus.

📈Zenox Public Affairs, representing the mobility company Bolt, advocated in favour of 20 kilometres per hour and achieved it, while the initial bill was providing 15 kilometres per hour.
