Kouris Dam is the largest man-made dam in Cyprus and is located 15 km from Limassol near Ypsonas. It was being built for 4 years and a village and a church had to be abandoned since they got sunk in the lake.
The dam overflowed on January 6, 2020 only for the third time since it was built in 1989.

Strawberry Moon 2020
With the help of a telescope we managed to capture this extraordinary timeless beauty.
The strawberry moon got its name because it was the best time for picking wild strawberries, according to the Farmers. It's sometimes called the hot moon, honey moon or mead moon. It's known as the rose moon in Europe.

Weekends are for road trips!
Foinikas is an abandoned village in the Paphos District of Cyprus. It is located next to the Asprokremmos dam, a few kilometers north of Anarita village.
Built entirely of stone, the village continued to "live" until the island΄s independence in 1960.
