Dhekelia delivery!

Sunday 10th April, I will be delivering to Dhekelia. Collection point will be the Cessacs car park and I will be in a blue Ford transit van at 5.30pm. It will be a chilled delivery to reheat at your leisure. Proper vinegar will be supplied with every order. Chilli vinegar available on request. Delivery fee is €1.50 per order. REHEATING INSTRUCTIONS.

Pies are best reheated in the oven but can be microwaved and finished under the grill to crisp the tops back up. You can place the pies in their foil trays in the oven but the foils are not microwaveable.

Sprinkle a little bit water over the top of the pies and place in a pre-heated oven at a medium temperature for 15-20 minutes. The core temperature must reach over 75°c

To microwave, place on a microwaveable plate and heat until the middles are 75⁰c and then place under the grill for 1 or 2 mins until the tops are crisp.

The mashed potato container can be microwaved. Lightly break up the mash with a fork and loosely replace the lid. Microwave for until hot. For best results, fluff up the potato regularly during cooking time.

Cold liquor will set. This is perfectly normal.
Liquor is best reheated on the hob. Do not bring it to the boil. Use a balloon whisk if you have one to get rid of all lumps. If it is necessary to thin the liquor, then add a little bit of boiling water and if it loses its taste slightly then add a little salt.

Hey all. I've had a recent bit of interest from the Dhekelia area so I'm going to try to sort a day next week to do a mass delivery to the area. Keep your eyes peeled for further details...

The Road Bar in Kapparis, in collaboration with Queen Vik, Pie & Liq, are bringing the taste of London to Cyprus with a Pie, Mash & Liquor day on Thursday 1st April from 12-6pm. This is no April fool. We’ve even got chilli vinegar! Don’t worry if you don’t like liquor, we can also serve your pie with gravy and Chef Dave’s Underground menu will still be on offer. All food is freshly made to order so please book in advance and get on the dog and bone and get your orders in now as table spaces are limited due to COVID. Helping Hearts started in March 2020 cooking just 12 meals and as of today there are 131 households with over 753 people and 157 children we also helping other organisations that are looking after just over 1200 people.

The last care pack supplies cost €1637.50, this doesn’t include the added cost of baby supplies, emergency care packs or petrol costs. Fuel costs per delivery are approx €150. An extra €120 a week is spent on fuel to collect supplies and donations, welfare checks, meetings and activities.

Helping Hearts is not government funded and relies solely on donations. Without the generosity of others, this operation will not be able to continue.

Fantastic news, we have another local event just in. A Right Old Knees up is coming to the Tipsy Turtle along with the fantastic Queen Vik Pie & Liq. Another brilliant night lies ahead with a good old fashioned Sing-A-Long and Traditional Pie and Mash.

With it being December we will also be adding a good old-fashioned traditional Christmas Carol Sing-A-Long to the mix as well. Let's face it after this year we all need something to cheer us up.
