Plank’s Fitness
Circuit classes at RAF Valley. Suitable for all fitness levels including pre and post natal ladies.
Happy weekend everyone! See you in the morning 💪🏻
Circuits have now stopped for summer. See you all again in September ☺️💪🏻
I’ve been thinking of doing this for a few years so whilst it’s on the doorstep I’ve booked into the clinic!
Still a few appointments left if anyone else is able to donate. Information from the Hive below:
RAF Valley Blood Donation Session - Fri 14 June 24! This session is open to the Whole Force, as well as welcoming registered family members to donate. If you would like to take part, follow the link now to check eligibility and to book
- https://wbs.wales/RAFValley
NHS Wales need to collect 350 donations every single day to support 19 hospitals around Wales. The session at RAF Valley will be run qualified practitioners who can offer a great deal of knowledge and support for those who may be slightly apprehensive.
Just one class this week - daddy day care is pursuing his hobbies this weekend so unless you fancy two extra little members we’ll just have a day off…
Tonight class is on as normal - I’ve got jelly legs though so you’ll have to bear with me on the high knees 😂
Attendance has been hit and miss on Saturdays so if you want to keep this session, vote with your feet!
See you at 08:00 💪🏻
Don’t forget!! A week today we start the next challenge… who’s up for it?

It’s me again!! Finally moved into our new house and starting to unpack the suitcases… Anglesey is certainly colder than Cyprus but still pretty beautiful 😍
Anyway - in a moment away from the unpacking, I saw this and thought of you all!! Who fancies giving it a go with me? If you’re struggling with the maths it’s 66.6 burpees per day… 😈
We’ve already raised over £2000 this year with our squats and miles - do you think we can raise some more??
On to the next adventure… take care x
Dropped off some school uniform at HomeStart earlier. They’re open all summer for anyone to donate or collect primary or secondary school uniform. Such a great idea for those families who need to use it 📚
And here she is, my biggest loser 😉
Lisa has been coming to classes 3 times a week since the start of Plank’s Fitness, but has made some serious changes to her diet and lifestyle too. We’ve enjoyed many Wednesday Walks together and we even tackled the Gym 2 Gym (in 3hrs 20 minutes!). In spite of some injuries Lisa kept on coming to classes, with modified exercises to keep herself active.
Lisa weighed herself before joining Planks Fitness and after her last class is now an incredible 14.5kg (2 stone 4lb) lighter!!
So incredibly proud of what you have achieved, I always knew you could!
I hope you have the BEST journey back to the UK (not jealous at all!) and I hope our paths cross again xx
P.S Apologies to Brooke and Bonnie for cropping you out of that second photo but I’m sure you’ll agree your Mum deserves all the limelight 🌟
SO proud of Lucy. She joined the classes back in November to support my fledgling business. She LOATHED exercise and didn’t I know it 😂
But, after just a few classes she was hooked. 8 months later and she’s now 2 stone lighter, looking incredible AND has taken up running! Not only did she complete the Couch 2 5K last month, she’s now in training to inspire the next group of Couch 2 5K runners. Well done Lucy! Looking forward to joining you on some Parkruns in the future 😊
I was challenged earlier this year by to swim Bay 2 Bay (1 nautical mile sea swim). I hated swimming, I particularly hated swimming in the sea. She promised that if I put in the effort, she would get me to the start line. Lesson one I was asked to swim 4 lengths of the station pool - I managed 1 and a half. It didn’t look great 😕
But we put in the hours - in the pool, in the sea and in the gym, often at silly o’clock in the morning 😴
And finally this morning I can say that the challenge is now complete. It wasn’t pretty, it wasn’t fast but I’m so proud to say I did it (all front crawl)! All thanks to the most incredible coach and all round brilliant human. Thank you Kia, thank you for believing in me when even I didn’t x
P.S what’s the next challenge? 😉
And just like that the final class is done.
Thank you to every single one of you who has supported these classes. It started as a daft idea, then turned into reality and ultimately a proper job (possibly the best one on camp?). I have loved every single moment. Yes the fitness is important, and a lot of you have started some incredible journeys, but more importantly these classes have been about the people. About you. I have met some incredible people each with their own very personal reasons for joining the group. I have also made friends for life.
You are all incredible and I wish you all the best of luck in the rest of your time here in Epi, whether that’s just a few days left or a few years. I am SO jealous that you get to stay…
Thank you all for my leaving gifts and the kindest words in my card. I’ve read them all again and shed a few more tears 😢
I am going to miss you all.
It’s not goodbye, it’s see you later xx
Here we go… last class! Let’s make it the best one yet 😀
See you there 💪🏻
Just one last class left here in Episkopi - Thursday 08:40 in the gym. I’ve got a couple of spaces left if anyone wants to join us?
We’ll aim to finish class on time to get across to Homestart by 09:30. Sarah has kindly said that the building will be open (and the A/C on!) at 8am for anyone who wants to drop off cakes before class.
Monday crew you were wonderful as always. Thank you for being the BEST start to the week!
Little bit of fun at the end of todays sweaty circuit. More fun to come in the last two sessions 😃

Well done Thursday team! A sweaty banded workout with one of our favourite arm burners at the end 💪🏻
Love a sweaty cuddle at the end 😂
Here we go folks, last 5 classes! I promise we've got some fun planned 😄
Will we reach full capacity on the very last class? (you'll have coffee and cake to look forward to at the end!)
Message me to book ☺️
Didn’t take many videos today - but this one made me giggle. J was definitely in a falling over phase today (she was fine!).
Enjoy your Wednesday off everyone, see you back on Thursday for more fitness and fun 💪🏻😄
🌟 Inspirational post 🌟
There are many reasons why people join a fitness group, whether it’s to lose weight, build strength, improve overall fitness or simply to meet a group of likeminded people. Emily joined Plank’s Fitness last year with a clear goal of weight loss and improving her fitness. I’ve been so privileged to be part of Emily’s journey over the last 8 months which she has now proudly asked me to share with you.
In the last 8 months, Emily has lost an incredible 8kg (almost 1 and a half stone!). Not only that she has transformed from someone who hated exercise to someone who LOVES group fitness classes. She also admits she didn’t know how to do a squat properly before joining us - February soon sorted that out!!
Be inspired that through a bit of hard work and dedication, your goals are absolutely achievable.
Well done Emily, I’m so proud of you 👏🏻
Let’s have a little Rosie Wood appreciation post. She wasn’t able to turn up to her very last class but we still love her. I first met her and we spent most classes chatting (I didn’t realise how annoying it is Esther, sorry! 😂) she hasn’t stopped chatting ever since. Rosie then became one of my biggest cheerleaders and chief camera operator to get me through my exams. She’s been coming to classes from the beginning, with Etta usually on her hip, or back or generally getting in the way of phys 😂
Classes just won’t be the same without you or Etta, they’ll certainly be a lot quieter anyway! Wishing Rosie and family the most incredible journey back to the UK 🚙
Farewell but it’s not goodbye x
There was a request for more benches before the end of term so of course I obliged. This time with 3 circuits 😉
Brilliant efforts Monday team - you smashed it 💪🏻
Week 6 of 7!
Just a handful of spaces left this week. We’re having our music week this week with the theme being Summer! So expect everything from summer hits to songs you’d hear by the pool. It’s going to be a good week 😀 💃🏻
Message Amy to book - don’t miss out! x
