With great sadness, we announce that Loren Cunningham, Founder of Youth With A Mission, died at 88 today at 4.20 AM in his sleep at home in Kona, Hawaii. He is survived by his wife, Darlene, daughter Karen, son David and Judy Cunningham, and three grandchildren, Madi, Kenna, and Liam. An official obituary can be found on lorencunningham.com. Memorial details will be forthcoming.

A life in missions can be exciting and purposeful. Our desire is to live our best life— fulfilling the calling that God has for us. However, it can also be a very challenging journey. 

It is not uncommon to experience stress from transitions, cross-cultural living, failed expectations, and interpersonal challenges. In order to live our lives to the fullest, we need to process these challenges so that they do not begin to weigh us down. Personal debriefing is an ideal way to process your experiences in mission so that you can move forward feeling refreshed and rejuvenated!

Our children also have a unique experience when growing up in a full-time ministry context. Their experiences are different from those of their peers, and they may not be growing up in their passport country. It is helpful to give our children an opportunity to process their experiences, as well! 

If you’re feeling like you and your family could use some rejuvenation, we invite you to come and be debriefed by trained, experienced YWAM debriefers in the peaceful village of Mrčajevci, Serbia from October 22-27. This retreat is open to singles, couples, and families! The children and teenagers will participate in their own age-appropriate debriefing program through creativity, storytelling, and activities.

Slovo “predtínedžer” označuje deti vo veku 10 až 12 rokov. Je to vek, kedy deti už pomaly (alebo aj rýchlo...) vstupujú do puberty.
Na seminári budeme hovoriť o tom, čím sú v tomto veku špeciálni, aké majú potreby a typické vlastnosti a tiež ako ich čo najlepšie osloviť a vniknúť do ich sveta.

Tiež budeme hovoriť o tom, prečo je tento vek tesne pred pubertou taký kľúčový (zmena je už doslova na obzore!) a prečo sa fakt oplatí do svojich predtínedžerov investovať.

ACT meeting in Krakow - YWAM Central Europe In October, our Central European Area Circle Team (ACT) met in Krakow, Poland

This is the 4th LDE (Leadership Development Encounter) with 180 participants having been trained from more than 45 nations. This course will be run over 5 days plus an introduction rather than 3 days/week over 2 weeks as previous courses.

Time: The course will run for 3½ hours each day from 9am, Vancouver time, 5pm London time, 6pm Central Europe time or 7pm Eastern Europe time.

The course is focused for YWAM leaders from Europe and linked to the ELLC (European leaders learning community). However, you are welcome to join the course if you from north, south and central America, Africa or the Middle East. Apply below if you are 18 or over and have a heart for leadership development. You are also welcome if you are a leader in another mission or involved in leadership in your local church.

1. Spiritual formation – developing a spiritual rhythm and spiritual leadership

Our Area Circle Team spent a wonderful few days meeting together for the first time since 2019 in Krakow, Poland. During our time in the city, we also got to spend time with many of the YWAM Poland staff and enjoy a tour of Krakow with John Hess and Helen Hess.
