Today marks Jonas' last day in our team as he completes his internship.

Our latest event perfectly aligned with the sunny weather this week, offering a delightful setting for our team to enjoy the ice cream bar at our new site's courtyard. 🍦☀️

Today, we are thrilled to congratulate Leon Federau on successfully completing his apprenticeship! We are excited to welcome him to the cycos team as a full-time software developer. 🎉

We're excited to share that our team will be participating in this year's Aachener Firmenlauf with 14 runners, setting a new company record! Our team members started training, seizing the chance to stay active and enjoy nature. 🏃‍♂️🌳

Who said that learning and having fun cannot get along?

Our latest event was a perfect blend of knowledge and entertainment. It kicked off with an insightful workshop on CI/CD in GitHub and GitHub Actions, providing valuable insights for all participants.

In the afternoon, the atmosphere took a playful turn with a thrilling Mario Kart tournament, adding a touch of excitement to the day.

A special shoutout this time goes to Michael Rodenbücher's mother for the delicious and delightful cakes that sweetened the event even further.

Reflecting on Tuesday evening, the Nacht der Unternehmen in Aachen was a resounding success. We had the chance to showcase our company and engage in meaningful conversations with prospective applicants.

We are excited to continue expanding our network and to welcome potential future candidates into our team.

On April 24, 2024, cycos AG inaugurated its new premises in Aachen. The event was attended by approximately sixty employees, including board members and supervisory board members. The new premises boast sunlit offices, state-of-the-art conference rooms, and comfortable lounge areas that create an atmosphere that fosters creativity and collaboration.

Guests were treated to delicious food and drinks, providing an opportunity for employees to exchange ideas and network in a relaxed atmosphere. Overall, the inauguration ceremony was a resounding success, and with the new premises, cycos AG is well-equipped to continue its success.

We have relocated from a remote industrial park to the heart of the city! Our new location is in close proximity to universities and situated in a modern and efficient building. This move is a significant improvement in the way we collaborate and our ability to attract local prospects.

As we settle into our new site, we wanted to take a moment to recognize the incredible leadership of our Head of R&D, Wolfgang Schiffer. Through all the changes, Wolfgang has remained a constant source of support and guidance for our team.

We are grateful for his tireless efforts to make our jobs easier and his unwavering commitment to our success. It’s not every day you come across a boss as dedicated and inspiring as Wolfgang.

That’s why we’ve decided to show our appreciation with a plate to decorate his new office. It’s a small gesture, but we hope it serves as a constant reminder that we truly value everything he does for us.

While we're eagerly awaiting our official move, we at cycos decided to kick off a new tradition: ! Our first edition was a come together at our new site with a delicious waffle buffet 🧇

This week's progress: Our hardware has been successfully moved to our new site and is now connected to the internet. We're excited to announce that our activity room is ready for use. And of course, we haven't forgotten the most crucial part of any successful team - coffee! Our coffee machines are set up and ready to fuel our first employees.

As we gear up for our latest development project, we're making sure all our teams are ready to roll. While the painters and housing crew finish up, Lars Hermanns, our Head of IT, is working hard to ensure our company network is prepped and ready to support all our development activities and online meetings.

With Lars at the helm, we're confident that our IT infrastructure will be up to the task and allow us to achieve our goals efficiently.

This month, the cycos team has some thrilling news to share!
With the handover of the keys, we are one step closer to discovering our brand new and modern site.

Today, we bid farewell to Eugen Stark after more than 25 years at cycos. It's a bittersweet moment for us as we say goodbye to a valued team member but also celebrate his well-deserved retirement.

Eugen has been an integral part of our team, and we are grateful for his many contributions over the years. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors. As a small token of appreciation, the whole team came together to express our gratitude and present him with a gift.

Our admin team had a fun and informative brewery tour in Cologne with k3 stadterlebnisse, followed by an enjoyable exploration of the festive city decorations 🎄

As part of our ongoing commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), we are proud to announce that five of our developers have recently earned the Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) credential from the IAAP - International Association of Accessibility Professionals

This certification demonstrates that our developers have a broad, cross-disciplinary conceptual knowledge about disabilities, accessibility and universal design, and accessibility-related standards, laws, and management strategies

We are proud to be able to support Eviden as the BASF partner of choice to develop a software platform to help the chemical industry with their product carbon footprint (PCF) calculation and analysis. This analysis should serve as a starting point for customers to reduce their footprint.

Our runners had a blast of last week's Aachener Firmenlauf and didn't let the pouring rain affect their joyful mood 😀

Our 11 runners from the cycos Team are ready to join the Aachener Firmenlauf once more. For the first time, they will wear the Eviden orange instead of the Atos blue.
