Have you ever experienced this? Standing at the farmer's market with broccoli 🥦 in one hand and apples 🍎 in the other, you realize you forgot your shopping basket 👜 . Well, it is only when a container is missing that you notice it. What applies to private life applies to industry. Regardless of the industry, containers, crates, pallets, and other load carriers are an indispensable part of the supply chain. Without them, no clothes 👘 would end up in stores, no screws 🔩 would make it to the hardware store, and certainly no fruit 🍇 would make it to the grocery store or supermarket. Companies are organizing their #container_management in line with the #circular_economy. In this way, they ensure that the load carriers are used again and again. In the process, they go through various stages: from the supplier to the depot, to the producer, to the customer, to cleaning or maintenance, and back to the start again. In order to ensure that the process does not come to a standstill due to a simple missing box, it is necessary to distribute the load carriers in the container cycle in accordance with the requirements. Not only do these companies have to ensure that the cars on order are produced on time and with all the right features. Depending on where they are produced, the cars also need to move smoothly through a global supply chain. In this process, a new car can travel up to 6,200 miles without having driven a single mile of its own. With the help of global networks, automakers are able to ensure that orders for new cars are delivered on time from their production facilities to dealerships around the world. There are up to 1.8 million ways to deliver a new car on time, depending on the route and mode of transportation (ship, rail or truck).
