I am a Pilates instructor based in Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin. I offer private and small group classes and pre- and postnatal Pilates.

In my Pilates classes, all exercises are carried out on the floor on a mat, sometimes using small equipment like balls, weights or fitness circles. Classes are private or semi-private (duo) and take place in my home studio in Prenzlauer Berg. Classes are completely personalised: we will work together to put together an exercise programme that suits your needs and brings you joy!

"Results indicated a significant increase in the vaginal delivery rate among the Pilates exercise group compared to the control group (p < .001). Moreover, the Pilates exercise group exhibited significantly reduced rates of cesarean delivery and shorter labor duration. Pilates exercise was associated with a significant decline in the incidence of episiotomy and the number of women requiring epidural analgesia during delivery (p < .001 & p = .008). In addition, Apgar scores at one and five minutes were significantly higher in the Pilates exercise group compared to the control group (p < .001). In conclusion, Pilates exercise during pregnancy has a positive effect on maternal outcomes and Apgar scores."

“An excess level of a hormone called GDF15 is the main cause of pregnancy sickness, including the most severe cases, known as hyperemesis gravidarum. The evidence for this has been growing for the past few years and now a study combining multiple lines of evidence should settle the issue.”

When you come to me for private sessions, you will get an exercise plan to do at home every time.

The 5-15 minutes of breathing, reconnecting, strengthening that you do at home are crucial. This is where recovery happens. In the repetition.

At first it will be very gentle - so gentle it’s boring. But it is absolutely essential to go through the repetitions.

This is valid for postpartum recovery and any recovery - so all my clients get their list and videos of exercises to practice at home. This is how we heal and recover.

🐥 I always recommend to come alone if you can, as the work we do together requires concentration and with your baby next to you you might find it difficult to focus on yourself.
❤️ But: It’s always ok to bring your baby to a private session with me.
👶🏼Small babies are also allowed in duo Postnatal Pilates classes.

I have always been a movement ju**ie. But being addicted to movement comes with its problems, and I have had my share of injuries, back problems and pain. What I have learnt over the years and what I want to pass onto my clients is that to live better we need to move better. For this we must train, not only our bodies but also our minds. This is what Pilates is about.

I believe my mission as a Pilates coach is to empower people to regain control of their bodies. Most of us need to re-learn how to feel, re-learn how to move, re-learn how to live in our physical body.

Pilates trains the mind to feel the body, and it trains the body in order to free the mind.
