Athens, Deca Architecture – New Office in an Old Industry Building The movie shows Deca Architecture's new office in an old industry building in Athens, Greece, using a water wall as an upgrade to an inspiring and comfortable space . The main conclusion after a heat wave test performed in July 2023 is, the system with natural ventilation (including also gravity walls and floor tempering) is reaching 24°C room temperature at 40°C outside temperature with only 18°C supply temperature!

The opening of the exhibition “Invisible Architecture” was a success. The inspiring panel discussion between Thomas Auer, Wilfried Kuehn and Johannes Kuehn was moderated by Stephan Trüby. It gave the audience insights about the attitude and values of the participants in relation to their cooperative design process and architecture overall. Die Eröffnung der Ausstellung "Unsichtbare Architektur” war ein Erfolg: Die inspirierende Podiumsdiskussion zwischen Thomas Auer, Wilfried Kühn und Johannes Kühn wurde von Stephan Trüby moderiert und vermittelte dem Publikum Einblicke in die Haltung und Werte der Teilnehmer in Bezug auf Architektur und ihre Kooperation im Designprozess. TRANSSOLAR goes parametric: Real Time Daylight and Thermal Simulation This movie shows the analysis of a parametric facade study with variation of the fixed shading 3D-geometry. The front view -looking from outside in - is shown on the lower left side. A thermal model calculates the annual energy demand required for heating, cooling and electricity for lighting (as a result of the daylight model) for a single space - displayed by the facade + glazing + floor. All results are calculated by linking the same geometry information to daylight and thermal simulation. The primary energy demand is shown in the bar next to the heating, cooling and electricity demand as a cumulated performance indicator. The false colour map indicates daylight factors in the space. The fractional area with a daylight autonomy above 75% is displayed next to the daylight factor legend. Enjoy the movie and see how the changing shading geometry is influencing daylight and energy perfomance.....
