🚇 Our UK Survey Team has demonstrated their skill and precision in a recent project for the , Elizabeth Line.

In projects like these, discretion is key. Our team has successfully installed reflective targets and leveling pins along the entire length of a link tunnel - entirely out of sight from the daily hustle and bustle. This strategic placement enables vital nightly monitoring of the tunnel's structural safety while construction and demolition work is carried out on the surface. This approach minimizes unnecessary attention and reduces the risk of third-party interference. ✅

Our ability to work effectively, yet almost invisibly, ensures that we continue to deliver top-quality results while maintaining the integrity and security of the operational environment.

A huge shout out to the team for their hard work and dedication. Your effort enables us to capture critical data seamlessly and ensures the ongoing safety and efficiency of London's transport infrastructure. 👏👏👏

The Leverkusen Rhine Bridge project began one year ago with the installation of the first stay cables. Over the course of the year, 64 stay cables: our DG-P 55 and DG-P 91 types, were installed utilizing the free cantilever construction method with segmental launching. The biggest project milestone came with the installation of the last stay cables after the gap closure in September 2023.

👉 Following this achievement, our team's focus shifted towards the finishing works. This phase included the critical tasks of damper installation and, applying corrosion protection in and around the anchoring points, among other key activities. These final steps paved the way to the bridge's recent unveiling.

⚙️ Close collaboration with our esteemed client and partner, SEH Engineering GmbH, played a pivotal role in the project's success. Navigating through tight construction phases and perpetual deadline pressure, the project's triumph was rooted in a foundation of structure, organization, and goal-oriented collaboration from every stakeholder.

👏 Heartfelt thanks to all contributors for their excellent cooperation on this groundbreaking project. Completing such a large-scale endeavor in a short construction period is a testament to the strength of teamwork.

No limits for . 👇

DYWIDAG undertook the River Forth project in the UK, providing a manual monitoring solution of the bridge bearings.

👉To perform the manual monitoring of the bridge beams, a rope access system was required. Collaborating with Sea Training International Ltd ensured safety while our team abseiled from the bridge, and allowed uninterrupted operations on the M9 throughout the entirety of the project.

With a focus on effectiveness, our team were able to deliver the project in a timely and cost-effective manner. Proving that our monitoring solutions can be provided no matter the challenge while also capturing images of every bridge bearing—preserving history that was previously unrecorded.📸

Project Update. 👇

The team, joined by our Munich Stay Cable Technical Director, Werner Brand, explored the project to delve into its history and design.

ℹ️ Spanning the Tamsui River mouth in , the bridge is set to ease through-traffic congestion by linking Highway 2 on the eastern side with Highway 15, the west coast expressway (Route 61), and the Bali-Xindian Expressway (Route 64) on the western side.

▶️ Pylon construction is progressing seamlessly, paving the way for DYWIDAG's stay cable installation on this groundbreaking 450m span bridge in Taiwan next year! 🇹🇼

Stay tuned for more updates as this project unfolds in 2024.

Reliable. Quick. Sustainable. ✅

The reinforcement work on the bridge over the River Enns in , Austria challenged our team in terms of a very tight ex*****on timeline and the need to maintain traffic.

Working closely with our partners, PORR Bau GmbH and Brünner ZT GmbH, we managed to install and stress DYWIDAG Wire EX and DYWIDAG Post-tensioning bar tendon systems within less than 10 days, enhancing the bridge's resilience and longevity.

Our factory-applied anti-corrosion protection eliminated the need for heated anti-corrosion protection compounds, respecting the park's delicate . 🌳

The Merwedebrug in Gorinchem, Netherlands, plays a vital role as a river-crossing link, but it recently encountered a significant challenge - the presence of loose paint on its hangers which if left unaddressed, poses a substantial risk of corrosion.

💡 Rather than repaint the hangers, we used wrapping technology Cableskin®, to complete the work swiftly over the weekends minimizing traffic disruptions and keeping the lifeline bridge accessible.

This solution offers speed without sacrificing quality for our client and the wrapping guarantees protection for an impressive 50 years, exceeding the life expectancy of paint - ensuring Merwedebrug Gorinchem remains robust for decades to come.

Congratulations to our UK Team for their involvement in BEAR Scotland's A702 Westwater project, for which we were recognized as a key project partner. 🥇

We are delighted to share that the "Best Small Project 2023" award was awarded to the A702 Westwater bridge, a vital link between and the M74.

🛣️ Facing an imminent crisis due to severe scour undermining the south abutment of the bridge, the clock was ticking. Heavy rainfall was causing rising water levels making the situation became even more critical. To make matters even more challenging, road closures could only be implemented on one side of the bridge due to high traffic volumes, necessitating a dynamic approach.

Our UK Team rapidly developed a monitoring system, installed using our in-house rope access capability, and were on site within 2 days to assist Bear Scotland.

Smart Tilt's were placed at strategic locations on the bridge to give vital data, which served as the backbone of a 24/7 Structural Health Monitoring System allowing key decisions to be made on site and at moment's notice. This ensured crucial traffic flow was maintained and eliminated the need for extensive diversions. ✅

at the Mt Messenger Bypass

The Te Ara o Te Ata – Mt Messenger Bypass project in North Taranaki, is a new 6 km route to avoid the steep, narrow, winding roads.

The cable way spanning 1.1 km requires large anchors 20m deep into the hillside to ensure the safe transport of large machinery and personnel into the heart of the future bypass.

▶️ DYWIDAG Smart anchor technology has been used to provide 24/7 remote monitoring of the force on the anchors when moving large loads up to 20 tonnes.

We appreciate the Mt Messenger Alliance and GroundFix for trusting us with such critical infrastructure. Watch the Mt Messenger Cableway video below. 👇

Providing vital monitoring in hard-to-reach areas

Our team worked on the repair of 2 cast iron structures on the MDL Line to Leeds: Bridge 6, with an impressive span over the Calder and Hebble canal, and Bridge 8 over the river Calder. Erected in 1847 in Dewsbury, these structures were showing their age and accessing the hard-to-reach areas in need of repair required a specialist approach.

📊 Our solution? Using rope access, we installed non-invasive bi-axial tilt sensors, discreetly placed on each section, feeding data to our cutting-edge Infrastructure Intelligence platform 📈.

DYWIDAG continues to care for historic bridges, using rope access for sensor maintenance, and partnering with Sea Training International Ltd for water-based challenges.
