AMable Experiment AUXPRINT 16/11/2022

Additive manufacturing makes producing complex shapes with auxetic properties possible, which could not have been made with traditional manufacturing. With additive manufacturing, some challenges are made much easier and more precise, such as control of geometry and material composition of complex shapes.

In one of our most recently published interviews, a project member talks about the challenges the project faced and how AMable was able to help overcome them. Write down how AMable was able to help you or could help in future projects.

Advanced and efficient production of strong and highly conductive connections of 2D and 3D structures - this is what the ADIESSN project wants to achieve. However, a feasibility study must first show to what extent this is possible. In doing so, they have to overcome some challenges, namely developing a method and material that can withstand 3D printing using silver-containing filaments.

The team around the project PLAFLYADD has set itself the goal to produce flying parts built with polymers additives technologies. The idea for this project came up because in commercial aircraft, there are a number of non-structural parts that are required for several functions. With the use of additive manufacturing features like weight, cost or volume can be reduced to a minimal amount.

But with every project, there are some challenges that have to be overcome. Read more on our website. https://buff.ly/3UIFdl7
