Welcome back from Camp Avantura, Troop 324!
Troop 324 is keeping active over the summer knocking out requirements.
Our troop has increased to the point of needing to create two posts to fit all of the pictures!

Congratulations to all scouts and scouting families, friends, and volunteers!

Congratulations to all scouts and scouting families, friends, and volunteers!
Thanks to all of the scouts and adult volunteers that came out and baked for today’s bake sale!
Camilla honors her Eagle rank by maintaining and replacing the bushes that she and Troop 324 planted last summer. Thank you for your hard work and commitment!
Scouts paid a small tribute back to honor those who have fallen for our freedoms by serving at Patch’s Memorial Day Service. Christian R. did a great job in reciting In Flanders Fields for the ceremony.
Scouts spent the weekend camping with a couple of rank promotions and requirements getting accomplished such as a six mile hike. Congrats to Zoey for earning Tenderfoot and Henry for earning Second Class!
7 scouts earned their Horsemanship Merit Badge over a period of 7 different visits to PonyExpress. Scouts learned the basics of horse riding, care for the horses, and the basics on horse antonmy and handling. Our instructor Nicole was wonderful!
Congrats to Eli J. Ben J. Abrams V. Henry M. Colbie A. Lilly V and Mel D.
On 3 May, 8 Scouts and 4 Leaders from Troops 324 Girls and Boys participated in the Order of the Arrow journey at Camp Freedom. The Order of the Arrow is the honor society of Scouting and inherently holds a higher expectation for Scouts to exude this value of service. To be selected requires both 15 camping nights within a 2-year rolling window and election by your fellow Scouts. Both the Ordeal and Brotherhood programs took place at Frankenkaserne, Germany under near perfect conditions.
Scouts Emma A., Lilly V., Jackson B., Connor M., Liam S., JJ R., and Raphie S. all completed their Ordeal (not an easy/pleasant task!), while Josh B., Rafael S., Camilla M., Tobin M., and Tim M. were awarded their Brotherhood sashes.
Congratulations to the Scouts and leaders - keep on scouting!
A chapter is over for Troop 324 as we say goodbye to M. Ramsey who attained the highest achievement in scouts, Eagle, and still wanted to attend the meetings, campouts, and events with his Troop. His father, Jeff, was also clutch in the progression of Troop 324 as he was a great leader by example as our Scout Master last year. We will surely miss the Ramsey family and wish them safe travels!
Another good day of Horsemanship in the books.
Scouts had a fun day at the golf course learning about the rules, chipping and putting. Some even found worms and others found balls in the trees.
Scouts took a couple of hours today to “Trash the Trash” at Patch today.
Conservation Service Project with USAG Conservationists at Panzer LTA.

Troop 324 had a great time working on their Horsemanship MB. Beautiful weather, gorgeous scenery, and a phenomenal MB counselor.
Congratulations to the following scouts for their achievements! May you continue your progress!

Keep up the good work, scouts!
Ehrwald, Austria hosted Troops 324 Girls and Boys Snow Sports Merit Badge event this past Saturday on the near 9,000 foot high runs. Both Snowboarding and Alpine Skiing were instructed, attempted, and nearly mastered...nearly! Tobin M. performed his magic with both Bear Scout Albrecht on skis and Scout BSA Elanor on the board. Albrecht leaned heavily on his skating background and quickly progressed to the bunny hill and finally to the blue runs - amazing! The snowboard proved a bit more challenging, but still many snowy smiles were experienced. Next opportunity is around the corner on 24 February - be there or miss the Alpine views!
Congratulations to the following T324G scouts for earning SCOUT rank (left-right: Emma, Zoey, Joy, and Michaela) – great job!
And congratulations to T324B scout, Will P. for earning his Life rank; only one rank away from the top Eagle!
Klondike, 2024!
Congratulations to Emma A. for one of the chilliest merit badges - Snow Sports!
Emma took advantage of the tremendous opportunities for downhill (Alpine) skiing that Germany has to offer. Her last requirement was completed on a visit to the Dolomites (Italy)!
Well done and keep on skiing!
Note: much closer to home is Feldberg (Black Forest) - the location of our Scouts BSA Snow Sports merit badge on 10, 24, and 25 February.
Troop 324’s December CoH presented 17 different merit badges to a variety of scouts, a new change in leadership for the boys’ and girls’ troop, five scouts ranked up to Tenderfoot, three to 2nd class, five to 1st class, four to Star, and two scouts attained Life rank since the last CoH! We also welcomed 10 new scouts into our troop with a crossover ceremony.
Congratulations to the scouts, families, and all of our volunteers!
Congratulations to Zoey F. for completion of a challenging Eagle Scout required merit badge - Cycling! Over 50 miles were covered on two wheels powered by nothing, but leg power! These miles included multiple rides on variety of terrain from paved to gravel to single track dirt all while maneuvering their multi-speed equipped mountain bikes over the hills of Stuttgart. The final culmination ride included over 23 miles completed in ~4.5 hours - impressive!
Well done and keep on biking! (when it gets warmer...)
Day 2 of tree sales! Still going strong despite the cold! Come get your trees from Troop 324 and help support us in our largest fundraiser of the year!
