Introducing the Rising Aphrodite Ring, a project that has been in fruition for years and one that truly speaks of Sister and our inspiration: womanhood and homeland.

This three-piece ring, inspired by the fragmented form of many Aphrodite statues, pays homage to the divine femininity inherent in the goddess’s body. Cast in silver and crafted in Aphrodite’s birthplace, Cyprus, we celebrate the embodiment of femininity, sensuality, and strength.

We’re celebrating the arrival of March with traditional Martaki Bracelets!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In Greek and Cypriot culture, March is a month of renewal and rebirth, marking the transition from winter to spring. According to folklore, wearing a March Bracelet protects the wearer from the Spring sun.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
These bracelets are created with red and white wax-string, adorned with little charms such as eyes, beads, tassels and pearls. They are worn on the first day of March until end of the month or until it falls off.

Selfie from my last visit to the workshop in September. In case you are new to our account, that’s me the owner of Sister, and Panagiotis, one of the two brothers that make our jewellery in the village of Lefkara in Cyprus, my homeland.

I met the brothers randomly in 2018 on an excursion to the village. I am a very curious person, who loves to strike up conversations with strangers. Maybe being from a small island makes you more open to that.

They showed me their workshop with such openness that I immediately asked if they would like to work together. Five years later, here we are! More to come…

The wonderful wearing the Fish Earrings by Prodromos. These earrings are what made us fall in love with Mr Costa's work when we came across it on our trip to Crete in April. For us, this is the epitome of Greek Summer and a little piece of home with us in the city!  

Say hello to one of our bestsellers: the Neolithic Fertility Figurine.

As a symbol that represents fertility and a mother goddess, we adore her. 

With her arms wide open she spreads mothering love and kindness. Her bent knees are a sign of birth-giving in the squatting position.

Know as the Idol of Pomos, this figurine is a prehistoric sculpture from the Cypriot village of Pomos. It dates back to the Chalcolithic period, around the 30th century BC and is the first form of worship on the island. 

The pendant is Handmade in Cyprus using Silver, and is available in our Online Shop and Berlin studio.
