The newest addition to our team are two baby oxen 🐂 who should help us to carry some load up the steep slopes of the farm.
However we are still looking for names?
Any ideas?

Having the right tools to work with is not only necessary when preparing a great cup of coffee on the market for you!
Also for the team at origin on our farm, we like to make work easier and enjoyable. John is super happy with his new scissors from made in Germany.

He says chopchop cuts very clean, which is very important when it comes to the small branches of the coffee tree.

In Hamburg you can get chopchop scissors in different beautiful colors in her stores or also at the farmers market (for example at Isemarkt or Grundstrasse) & of course wonderful flowers 🌷 too.

This summer we visited to our launch our Co-Roaster Box, featuring Busasa Natural from Burundi produced by in collaboration with .
Busasa meets The Coffee Board from Hamburg & KABO COFFEE from Lake Constance!

We are presenting to you our individual interpretation & roasting styles of two
passionate specialty coffee roasters.

You will discover a really fine Arabica variety Red Bourbon.

In the cup of The Coffee Board’s bright filter, you find a very clean natural with notes of blackberry, strawberry and dates.
To complement the filter Philipp from KABO helps with his espresso roasting
an espresso with a longer development time
a strong body, an intense sweetness and
Flavors of strawberry, rhubarb and pistachio
developed.

This limited edition of our joint box is available at our online shops & at the local farmers market in Hamburg or at Philipp’s beautiful cafe by the lake.

We like to show how fascinating & different coffee can be ☕️

Now we would love you to also have this wonderful tasting experience and share your opinions with us.
The flavor explosions are waiting for you!

Karibu to Rwanda!

I’ll be spending the next 2 weeks in Rwanda. I have been working for the past 3 years with the producers and finally we manage to meet in person, to exchange experience learn from each other and grow together

Last year we placed 7th in a roasting competition with a delicious natural. Because Kilimbi has been very popular, it is back in stock (Harvest 2021/2022)

Let’s see what is waiting for us this season?

Dear Coffee Harvest 2021/2022 you have been very good to us & challeging at the same time, but in the end we are finally seeing light at the end of the tunnel.
The past 2 months the team in Uganda has been moving all their powers.

Finally, we can say the current crop has been dried, hand sorted, colour sorted and bagged up. The coffee is now waiting in Kampala for the next available container & will make it’s way via Kenya to Mombasa Port and then off to Hamburg.
We are delighted to work with such a professional team

Thank you for your hard work and effort.

This delicious coffee is coming our way ☕️

Now, we slowly can get excited about the fresh crop from Mount Elgon. The cherries were picked between January 2022 – February 2022 – so they are super fresh and are grown as high as 2,300 above sea level.
