Can ART bend the future?
Last Sunday, we ventured to the .project at , and the experience left us moved. The Maisscape debuted this weekend and offers an independent yet . A custom control and amplifier system powers the 2 subwoofers under each of the 24 unique cantilever chairs, delivering a physical experience of top-notch sound quality for both shared and individual listening without disturbing the surroundings.
This powerful installation guided us to contemplate the unseen forces of vibrations and that are part of our world. As we sat with 22 others in a circle we slowly became part of the and were reminded through the delicate dance of of the importance of listening to our surroundings. In that space, we found ourselves engaged in a unique dialogue, one devoid of words. Looking forward, we hope to gather more in this line of work next winter, uniting them to continue to explore the powerful language of vibrations and frequencies.

Upcoming event on December 12 is centred in the Reality / VR continuum
Filmmaking in a virtual world - Machinima
The upcoming December event at the project-room/platform Ping-pong-between ART and knowledge will be centred around Machinima, a technique of filmmaking in virtual worlds using 3D VR- environments, animation, cinematic concepts, presented and discussed in the context of the reality/virtual reality continuum.
As a niche in all forms of reality representations, Machinima is challenging the notion of the moving image in numerous media contexts, such as video games, animation, digital cinema and virtual worlds. In theory, Machinima is described as signalling the emergence of new media allowing an unrestricted access to the system of cultural exchange and supporting a more democratic process of production and distribution in the media industry.
There appears to be immense potential for filmmakers to capitalise on the growing capabilities of not only traditional game worlds, but new emerging VR/MR techniques to create unprecedented levels of immersion for viewers.
Inversely, for VR/MR creators of all media, Machinima-technology may potentially help to mitigate the challenges when integrating narrative into the video gaming paradigm.
