The Green-Eyed Monster.

Consumed by jealousy, she visited a mysterious old woman named Madam Elara, who was rumored to have magical abilities. Madam Elara lived in a small cottage on the outskirts of the village, surrounded by peculiar herbs and mystical symbols.

Sarah explained her predicament, and the old woman nodded knowingly. She handed Sarah a small, glittering pouch of seeds with an air of caution. "These seeds," Madam Elara whispered, "have the power to make anything grow, but be warned, they come at a price. Jealousy, once awakened, is a force difficult to control."

Sarah, too blinded by her envy to heed the warning, took the seeds with trembling hands. She rushed back to her garden, and the pouch clutched tightly in her fist. The seeds glittered like emeralds in the sunlight.

Later that day, she planted them in her garden, carefully nurturing them with attention she had never given before. To her astonishment, the plants began to grow at an astonishing rate. Her garden became a spectacle, the envy of the village, just as she had hoped. Yet, an abnormal and unsettling vibe emanated from her garden, for these plants were unlike any seen before.

As Sarah's garden gained attention and praise, she reveled in the newfound admiration. But, it was short-lived. Lily, her dearest friend, noticed the abnormal nature of Sarah's garden and the growing tension between them. She confronted Sarah, who, in a moment of vulnerability, confessed to her use of the magical seeds.

Their friendship began to wither like Sarah's monstrous garden, and Lily felt a mixture of astonishment, disappointment, and betrayal. She explained to Sarah that true friendship should be built on trust and shared experiences, not on jealousy and deceit.

The village soon realized the repercussions of Sarah's jealousy. The out-of-control plants from her garden began to invade their own plots, causing chaos and destruction. The once-peaceful village descended into turmoil, with residents struggling to contain the unnatural plants.

Sarah, in witnessing the devastation she had caused, finally understood the gravity of her actions. She approached Madam Elara once more, seeking a way to undo the chaos she had unleashed. The old woman provided her with guidance on how to reverse the effects of the enchanted seeds.

In the end, Sarah's jealousy had not only destroyed her friendship with Lily but also brought ruin to the entire village. She learned the hard way that the green-eyed monster of envy can lead to devastating consequences.

Through her remorse and the help of her fellow villagers, she began the long process of restoring both her garden and her friendships, understanding that true value lay not in envy but in the genuine connections she had once cherished.

A true story of courage and humility from courtesy of Paul Harvey . . . .

Years ago a hardworking man took his family from New York State to Australia to take advantage of a work opportunity there. Part of this man's family was a handsome young son who had aspirations of joining the circus as a trapeze artist or an actor. This young fellow, biding his time until a circus job or even one as a stagehand came along, worked at the local shipyards which bordered on the worse section of town.

Walking home from work one evening this young man was attacked by five thugs who wanted to rob him. Instead of just giving up his money the young fellow resisted. However they bested him easily and proceeded to beat him to a pulp. They m*sh*ed his face with their boots, and kicked and beat his body brutally with clubs, leaving him for d?e*a*d. When the police happened to find him lying in the road they assumed he was d*e@d and called for the Morgue Wagon.

On the way to the morgue a policeman heard him gasp for air, and they immediately took him to the emergency unit at the hospital. When he was placed on a gurney a nurse remarked to her horror, that this young man no longer had a face. Each eye socket was sm*she*d, his sku*ll, legs, and arms fractured, his nose literally hanging from his face, all is teeth were gone, and his jaw was almost completely torn from his skull.

Although his life was spared, he spent over a year in the hospital. When he finally left, his body may have healed but his face was disgusting to look at. He was no longer the handsome youth that everyone admired. When the young man started to look for work again he was turned down by everyone just on account of the way he looked. One potential employer suggested to him that he join the freak show at the circus as The Man Who Had No Face. And he did this for a while. He was still rejected by everyone and no one wanted to be seen in his company. He had thoughts of s*uic*id*e. This went on for five years.

One day he passed a church and sought some solace there. Entering the church he encountered a priest who had seen him sobbing while kneeling in a pew. The priest took pity on him and took him to the rectory where they talked at length. The priest was impressed with him to such a degree that he said that he would do everything possible for him that could be done to restore his dignity and life, if the young man would promise to be the best Catholic he could be, and trust in God's mercy to free him from his torturous life. The young man went to Mass and communion every day, and after thanking God for saving his life, asked God to only give him peace of mind and the grace to be the best man he could ever be in His eyes.

The priest, through his personal contacts was able to secure the services of the best plastic surgeon in Australia. There would be no cost to the young man, as the doctor was the priest's best friend. The doctor too was so impressed by the young man, whose outlook now on life, even though he had experienced the worst, was filled with good humor and love.

The surgery was a miraculous success. All the best dental work was also done for him. The young man became everything he promised God he would be. He was also blessed with a wonderful, beautiful wife, many children, and success in an industry which would have been the furthest thing from his mind as a career, if not for the goodness of God and the love of the people who cared for him. This he acknowledges publicly.

His life was the inspiration for his production of the movie "The Man Without A Face." He is to be admired by all of us as a God fearing man, a political conservative, and an example to all as a true man of courage.

Emeka came from a rich home. He has three friends named Ikenna and Chisom. Emeka gets everything he needs from his parents. One faithful day, he saw an Apple watch ⌚️ online and started making requests to get the watch from his parents. Surprisingly, his parents refused to buy the watch for him. He became stubborn and disrespectful. This got the father angry, and he vowed never to buy the watch again for him.

One morning, Emeka came to school looking sad, Ikenna asked what the problem was, and he said nothing. He behaved like that for 3 days. His friends decided to visit him in his house. When they came, they saw the masion Emeka lives in. They were surprised and at the same time not too surprised because he lived a pompous life.

They were served very well, and they were happy. The mother later told them why Emeka had been behaving the way he did. The next day in school, Ikenna and Chisom called Emeka and advised him to take life easy and never to fight his parents for not providing everything he needed. Chisom came from a poor family. He told Emeka that they struggle to eat 3 square meals every day. To Emeka, it was not possible. He doubted him. Ikenna suggested that they visit Chisom.

When they came, Emeka couldn't believe his eyes. He saw the type of house Chisom lived in. He couldn't control the tears. He then asked, but you always look happy and satisfied. What's the secret?

Chisom said, for the life He gave me, my siblings and my parents, we are grateful. He who has life has hope. We are hopeful that our situation will change soon. Emeka felt sober. He went home, knelt down, and apologized to his parents. His parents realized their mistake that they caused what happened to Emeka because they never denied any of his requests. From that day, Emeka became a changed person.

Sometimes, many parents make this mistake by giving their children anything they request. Train up a child in a way that when he grows, he will not depart from it. Secondly, monitor the type of friends your children keep.

Appreciate God for the life you have today.
