Staying in can be fun with a well-equipped kitchen and planned meal. Here's a quick and tasty carbonara recipe to cook via Bon Appétit Magazine...
👩🍳INGREDIENTS👩🍳
3 Tbsp Kosher salt. + 100g guanciale/pancetta/bacon
60g parmesan + 4 egg yolks
2 large eggs + black pepper
2 Tbsp olive oil + 450g of pasta
🍝PREP🍝
- Heat water in large pot, add salt
- Cut meat of choice into strips
- Whisk 4 egg yolks + 2 whole eggs until smooth, stir in grated cheese and add pepper
- Heat olive oil in pan and add meat. Remove from pan and move meat to a small bowl.
- Cook pasta in boiling water, drain, transfer pasta to pan and stir rigorously
- Whisk ¼ cup pasta cooking liquid into reserved egg mixture, then very slowly stream into pan until egg and cheese mixture forms a silky sauce
- Mix in fried meat and divide pasta among bowls. Top with pepper and reserved cheese.
