The fine liquids community water tasting with Perrier as the main attraction promises to be an international event - but then we had soe Problems with the Livestream we could'nt solve.

Water sommeliers from all over the world were invited to share their expertise and opinions. Friday the 7th of Juli 2023, they had been live on camera to offer their taste comments on Perrier and share their knowledge of the French mineral water's source and history.

Perrier's history goes back a long way and has a fascinating connection to the past. Rumor has it that the Romans already knew of the spring, and even Hannibal is said to have refreshed himself there in 218 BC before crossing the Alps. While this is not definitively proven, there is one established fact: In 1863, Emperor Napoleon III gave permission for the construction of a hotel and spa around the Perrier Spring. The chief physician at the time, D. Louis Perrier, became the namesake of the water.

Over time, control of the plant changed, and finally, around 1900, the Englishman St. John Harmsworth took over the company. Under his leadership, Perrier began bottling its mineral water for the first time and selling it worldwide. This move helped make Perrier an internationally known brand, available in over 140 countries.

In the latest article on ONE SIP AT A TIME, you'll find ten of the world's most expensive waters. In addition to the unique mineral composition, the bottle design and origin of the water can also play a role in determining the price of the water.

The bottles can indeed be purchased for the mentioned prices listed. But watch out, the prices go up to five figures.

Water is a critical resource for all forms of life on Earth, and its future is a topic of concern for scientists, policymakers, and the general public. Some of the major challenges facing the future of water include population growth, climate change, and increasing demand for water due to industrialization and urbanization.

One major issue is water scarcity, which is projected to worsen in many regions of the world due to climate change, overconsumption, and pollution. This can lead to a range of problems, including food and energy insecurity, social and economic instability, and conflicts over water resources.

To address these challenges, there are ongoing efforts to develop new technologies and policies to conserve and manage water resources more effectively. Some of these include:

Water conservation: Implementing strategies to reduce water usage and waste, such as using more efficient irrigation systems, promoting water-saving technologies, and adopting more sustainable agricultural practices.

Water recycling: Developing and implementing systems to treat and reuse wastewater for non-potable purposes, such as irrigation or industrial processes.

Desalination: Expanding the use of desalination technologies to produce fresh water from seawater, brackish water, or other saline sources.

Water governance: Developing effective water governance systems that ensure equitable and sustainable use of water resources, while also considering the needs of different stakeholders and communities.

Overall, the future of water will depend on our ability to address these challenges through a combination of technological innovation, policy interventions, and collective action to promote sustainable water management practices.
