Gennem de senere år har vi haft et vellykket samarbejde med Schmidt Hammer Lassen, hvor vi har undervist deres internationale medarbejdere i dansk. Vi har både undervist i grupper på tegnestuen og 1:1 online.
Vi har undervist på alle niveauer og med forskellige formål: Vi har haft begyndere, nogle der skulle bestå Prøve i Dansk 2 (PD2) eller Prøve i Dansk 3 (PD3), nogle som ville føle sig mere trygge ved at tale dansk og andre, som gerne ville forbedre deres faglige dansk.

De senere år har vi udviklet et særligt danskkursus for internationale medarbejdere i byggebranchen. Vi kalder det Arkitekturdansk. Det hjælper arkitekter, bygningskonstruktører og ingeniører med at forbedre deres fagsprog på dansk.
Vi er stolte af at kunne sige, at vi har udviklet det i samarbejde med Arkitektforeningen og en masse spændende mennesker rundt om på tegnestuerne og i byggebranchen, og vi har allerede haft mange internationale medarbejdere igennem vores kursus - med stor succes.

The Danish "R": A Linguistic Challenge for Many People learning the language
One of the most notorious hurdles for non-native speakers is mastering the Danish "r." This distinctive sound can be difficult to produce for those who haven't grown up with it, sometimes leading to a lot of linguistic frustration and some humorous misunderstandings.
The Danish "r" is typically produced at the back of the throat, with a guttural or uvular sound that is quite different from the rolling or trilled "r" in other languages. This variation in pronunciation can be perplexing, especially for those accustomed to softer or more front-of-the-mouth "r" sounds.
To help illustrate the difficulty and offer some guidance, we've made a short video with Arun from NNE. He finds the Danish "r" to be one of the hardest sounds to pronounce. You can watch the film in this LinkedIn post for a firsthand look at the challenges and a few helpful exercises.
If you're finding the Danish "r" difficult to pronounce, don't be discouraged.

Although the corporate language at BIG is English, the employees expressed a strong desire to learn Danish to better participate in Danish projects and to be able to speak Danish outside of work.
It’s always exciting to meet people who are eager to expand their language skills, especially when it has the potential to open new doors in their professional and personal lives. Selvom Frank Müller er god til dansk, har han været vores kursist i hele to omgange. Sammen arbejdede vi med Arkitekturdansk - vores særligt tilrettelagte kursus for arkitekter, bygningskonstruktører og andre i byggebranchen. Vi hjalp ham med at finjustere sproget og blive bedre til at bruge det danske i arbejdsøjemed, for selvom man kan nå langt med engelsk, kan man nå endnu længere med dansk, når man bor og arbejder i Danmark.
Det var en fornøjelse at møde Frank.

In recent years, we have developed a special Danish course for international employees in the construction industry. We call it Architectural Danish ('Arkitekturdansk'). It helps employees improve their professional language skills in Danish. We are proud to say that we have developed it in collaboration with the The Association of Architects ('Arkitektforeningen') and a lot of specialists from architecture firms and the construction industry in general. We have already helped a lot of international employees improving their Danish - with great success.
