As a singer, guitarist and composer myself, I'm always a good sparring partner when it comes to spontaneous ideas in the studio with fx. choirs, arrangements, harmonies or instrument/vocal ideas and tips. All to give the songs that special extra, same as my band Defecto is known for as well.
Black Oak County just released their new single and it's being highly praised 👏 proud to have co-written/composed, recorded, mixed and mastered their new songs.
Am too looking much forward to collaborate more with them very soon when they return to my studio 🔥

Justify Rebellion are done recording a new song, and the mix is already coming along nicely.
Been trying out some new techniques and tricks, and it's working pretty well actually!

These recordings are the first where I'm using the Re-20 on floor Tom and the Royer 121 on guitar cab, and so far I'm loving both! 🎤

After a long time wanting to try out this microphone for myself, I've finally made the purchase. The Royer R-121. And what a mic! After a quick setup in front of a guitar cab together with the SM57, it's mind blowing how good it sounds. Can't wait to use this on future recordings! 🎤🎶

Last week I had an incredibly talented young singer-songwriter in the studio. Keep an eye out for this one, he doesn't know it himself, but he has something special going on. 🎸 Tuu Darling
Today was cleaning day. I've managed cables, moved things a bit around and found a way to use the spaces better.
Next week will be full of drum recordings, and mixing for 2 other artists. There's enough to do, and I love it 😍
Thank you all so much for choosing to come by my studio, every day I'm learning new stuff, and I love to be a part of all the amazing artists material and production.
Can't wait for some of the newer material I've worked on are released, I'm super proud of my last years, and this years work. 🥁

Sometimes you need a bigger room, but then it's good there are tricks like this - pointing the mic down directly at the floor to create an extra huge sounding room sound 🎤
I'm doing it for the mono drum room sound for this particular project, to especially make the snare sound larger and pop in the mix. 🥁

This month I have Never Can Tell in the studio.
John Kanding who founded the band about 30 years ago, created truckloads of songs during that time, but unfortunately his songs were never properly recorded or mixed. John took contact to me, and asked to help him out with... Everything!
So to finally have his songs realized and finalized, I dived down into his old demos, re-recorded and polished everything (drums, bass, guitars, vocals, synth) where as some rolls are also being played by guest musicians that are John's friends from back where the band thrived.
A creative and fun projects to be a part of, and also a project that definitely pushes my skilles in very different directions than I'm used to, which is something I love, as you can never learn too much from any genre, style or direction in the music business imo. There always something cool to learn, and maybe implement in own songwriting later on. 🥁🤩
