When we teach our s*xual education in the mountain villages, along the coast north or south, or in the urban poor areas, we meet girls and boys living in very different conditions and cultures. Therefore we adapt our workshops to these specific beliefs og histories, so we can meet every girl and boy exactly where they are in their lives with respect and care 🫶🏻

The pauses are very important to the young children and us, because they have a chance to have a private talk with our psychologists or educators and open up about more sensible topics. This particular day we had a special gueststar, MANU from "Manu Mojito Art" with us in our s*xual education, and he motivated several questions about gender identity and s*xual orientation. 🤔👨❤️👨👩❤️👩

Villa Santana is a so-called invasiones, where illegal settlements shoot up around a city. Poor migrants from Venezuela live side by side with internally displaced persons and they all fight for a fair life. Here we are at work in Villa Santana in Pereira, the coffee region with s*xual education and gender equality workshops, and working with young people's hopes and dreams for the future.
Villa Santana es una de las llamadas invasiones, donde los asentamientos ilegales se disparan alrededor de una ciudad. Los migrantes pobres de Venezuela conviven con los desplazados internos y todos luchan por una vida justa. Aquí estamos trabajando en Villa Santana en Pereira, el eje cafetero con talleres de educación s*xual y equidad de género, y trabajando con las esperanzas y los sueños de los jóvenes para el futuro.

❤️ It's so wonderful to see Isa again. Isa is a coffee picker and it's an extremely hard job on steep muddy slopes. We first met her in 2018 where we interviewed Isa, as well as her mother and sister about their childhood and life as poor girls and women in a machista culture with a positive attitude towards violence against women. Raw stories, but also Stories about women who stand together and help each other against injustice. (Isa you see in the end of the video)
❤️ Es tan agradable ver a Isa de nuevo. Isa es recolectora de café y es un trabajo extremadamente duro en laderas empinadas y lodosas. La conocimos por primera vez en 2018, donde entrevistamos a Isa, así como a su madre y hermana sobre su infancia y vida como niñas y mujeres pobres en una cultura machista con una actitud positiva hacia la violencia contra las mujeres. We shall meet Señora Cladia, a local leader. We go on caple transport, which is easy and fast. Only 1 km of jungle divides the richest and the poorest in Pereira. 💃🏿💋🕺🏿

Celebration! We are so so happy to be sitting around the same table in Bogotá sharing a meal and talk. Today we listen to a 40 year old woman, who at the age of 13, was s*xually abused by her father. She fled from her father to an older guy, who also s*xually violated and controlled her and became the father of her 2 children. Today she finally speaks out loud about her pain, secrets, shame and guilt. She shows herself vulnerable and strong agent woman. She tells a story about overcoming painful obstacles, which stole her young dreams. Today she has enough strength to say NO MORE! We understand how important our effort is and in an early age, empower them and make them feel that they have the right to their own body and the right to say NO! Stay tuned👈🏻👀
¡Celebración! Estamos muy felices de estar sentados alrededor de la misma mesa en Bogotá compartiendo una comida y discutiendo la dura realidad en la que viven las niñas vulnerables en Colombia. Hoy escuchamos a una mujer de 40 años, que a los 13 años, fue abusada s*xualmente por su padre. Huyó de su padre a su primer novio, un hombre mayor, que también la violó y controló s*xualmente y se convirtió en el padre de sus 2 hijos. Después de casi 30 años, finalmente habla en voz alta sobre su dolor, secretos, vergüenza y culpa.
Hoy se muestra vulnerable y al mismo tiempo una mujer fuerte. Ella cuenta una historia sobre la superación de obstáculos dolorosos, que le robaron sus sueños de joven. ¡Hoy tiene la fuerza suficiente para decir NO MÁS! Escuchar su historia nos hace entender lo importante que es nuestro esfuerzo, y llegar a las niñas en una temprana edad, empoderarlas y hacerlas sentir que tienen derecho en su propio cuerpo y el derecho a decir ¡NO! Este fin de semana vamos a hacer talleres en Nuevo Futuro, un orfanato en La Calera en las montañas alrededor de Bogotá. Estén atentos👀👈🏽

WE FIGHT TO STOP SEXUAL GENDER BASED VIOLENCE IN COLOMBIA
4 out of 10 girls in our interviews with 14-17 year old mothers has been exposed to s*xual violence. During the pandemic the numbers of pregnancies in the group of 10-14 year old small girls increased with 22 %! The numbers of 14-19 years old girls becoing pregnant increased more that 6 %.
The fathers were all over the age of 20.
In Colombia 19.000 girls and boys are yearly exposed to GBV (Sexual Gender Based Violence) Nevertheless they are VICTIMS of s*xual violence from men, they are STIGMATIZED AND SOCIALLY EXCLUDED in families and society. We fight for girls rights to decide over their own body, and decide when to have a child and with whom! 💪🏾💪🏼💪🏿
LUCHAMOS PARA DETENER LA VIOLENCIA BASADA EN GÉNERO EN COLOMBIA
4 de cada 10 niñas en nuestras entrevistas con madres de 14 a 17 años han estado expuestas a violencia s*xual. Durante la pandemia, el número de embarazos en el grupo de niñas pequeñas de 10 a 14 años aumentó en un 22%. El número de niñas de 14 a 19 años que estaban embarazadas aumentó más del 6%.
Todos los padres tenían más de 20 años.
En Colombia 19.000 niñas y niños anualmente están expuestos a VBG (Violencia Sexual de Género) Sin embargo son VÍCTIMAS de violencia s*xual por parte de hombres, son ESTIGMATIZADOS Y SOCIALMENTE EXCLUIDOS en las familias y la sociedad. ¡Luchamos por el derecho de las niñas a decidir sobre su propio cuerpo y decidir cuándo tener un hijo y con quién!💪🏾💪🏿💪🏼
