Reiner Klimke told us:
"Contact does not mean that by pulling the reins we will have it. The horse should step into the contact and establish an outline corresponding to the respective pace; an outline within which it can best develop its power. This is the aim of stepping into the contact. The rider's legs, weight and hands bring the horse into a form within which it can carry itself so that it can move most comfortably. "In aggregate, the Council finds that there is a need to do away with the view of the horse as an athlete. The horse is an animal with its own biological needs and limitations, and the Council believes that there is a requirement for recognition of the participation of horses in sport as a matter exclusively of human interest and ambition." This report has been underway since 2019 and now it's finally here. If equestrian sport wants to continue to govern itself, the Council requires immediate improvements in horse welfare.

Ja og det kan være forbandet frustrerende! Da det går langt hurtigere at tvinge hestens hoved ned med hånden end at ride bagfra og frem til bidet, og især hvis hesten også skal have mulighed for at sætte muskler mm.

Kandar for første gang valgfrit i alle klasser Dansk Ride Forbund er netop kommet ud med de nye, reviderede disciplinreglementer, som gælder fra 1/1-2022,og det er ikke kun i springning, der er ændret på reglerne, for som noget nyt er kandar nu valgfrit fra sværhedsgrad 3 og op – også på landsplan

Hestehold skal nu registreres i CHR

Alle steder, der holder heste, skal registrere sig i det Centrale Husdyrbrugsregister (CHR). Dette er besluttet af Fødevarestyrelsen som en del af indførelsen af EU’s dyresundhedslov. Loven gælder i hele EU og har fokus på opsporing og inddæmning af sygdomme.

Registreringen foretages af den ansvarlige for hesteholdet på www.landbrugsindberetning.dk eller i Fødevarestyrelsens app CHR, der kan hentes i App Store/Google Play.

Mange har måske i forvejen et CHR nummer på ejendommen. I disse tilfælde skal der tilknyttes et hestehold til CHR-nummeret, hvilket også kan gøres på www.landbrugsindberetning.dk .

I første omgang omfatter den digitale registrering kun selve hestestedet, mens registrering af hvilke heste, der befinder sig på stedet, vil blive et krav i 2022. Allerede nu skal hesteholdet dog lave en liste over de heste, der opholder sig på stedet. Listen skal kunne fremvises ved en evt. kontrol. Følgende skal noteres:

- Hestens chipnummer og UELN
- Dato for ankomst til stedet og besætningsnummer på det sted, hesten er kommet fra
- Dato for flytning fra stedet og besætningsnummer på det sted, hesten flyttes til

Der vil fra 2023 blive opkrævet et årligt gebyr for besætninger i CHR. Gebyret forventes at blive kr. 180/år pr. hestehold. Dertil kommer at større hestehold vil blive opkrævet en årlig afgift til Dyrevelfærdskontrol på kr. 690 (10-40 heste) eller kr. 1909 (over 40 heste).

Er din hest udtaget fra konsum?

Du vil i den næste tid opleve, at vi under vores besøg vil spørge om din hest er udtaget fra konsum, altså om din hest må slagtes. Grunden til det er, at der pr den 21 april i år træder en ny dyresundhedslov i kraft - Animal Health Law. Det er en EU forordning, og derfor gældende i alle EU lande. Det får flere konsekvenser for hestene, idet de nu indtager en klar produktionsdyrs rolle, og dermed slet ikke ses som hobby dyr længere. Hestene kan derfor ikke længere udtages fra konsum af dig som hesteejer. Føllene kan heller ikke længere udtages fra konsum når de chippes, som de har kunnet tidligere. Din hest kan alene udtages af din dyrlæge, og det kan fra den 21 april kun ske hvis hesten behandles med et lægemiddel der gør, at hesten ikke længere kan anvendes som menneske føde. Implementeringen af nye forordning kommer jo til at strække sig over tid og vi ved endnu ikke hvordan det vil forløbe. Ikke desto mindre ønsker Rebild Hestepraksis at gøre vores klienter opmærksom herpå, idet I stadig kan udtage jeres heste fra konsum indtil den 21 april 2021, ved at underskrive de relevante sider i hestens pas og sende dette til SEGES, så de kan registrere i deres database, at hesten nu er udtaget. Vi vil tage dette op med jer i den næste tid, når vi besøger jer. Og I er som altid velkomne til at henvende jer hvis I har spørgsmål.

Rovdyrene har brug for mad, og vi er meget taknemmelige for, at mange vælger at donere deres hest, når det er tid til at sige farvel.
Lige nu er vi desværre i den situation, at vi mangler mad til rovdyrene.

Kender I nogen som står i den svære situation, at de skal sige farvel til deres hest, så er vi meget taknemmelige, hvis vi kan være med i overvejelserne om, hvad der skal ske.

Hesten vil blive brugt til f***r til bl.a. løver, leoparder, ulve og afrikanske vildhunde, og den indgår dermed som en del af det naturlige kredsløb.
