The first Orchestra collectively writing, producing and recording their own original content!
From Orchestra to band, and from Conductor to producer..
It seems like a logical step to empower a collective of incredible musicians in an orchestra to support all their varieties of talents to create new music. Kristjan Järvi started this initiative with the Musical Chain series, where he as a producer initiated re-writes of classics, which were remotely recorded by the musicians of the Baltic Sea Philharmonic at home. This process now led them to the next step of creating the right support and environment for the members of the orchestra to submit their own compositions. These were then combined, recorded in creative sessions and post produced. Participants who need help with the use of programs, orchestrations or mastering are being provided with professional help to teach them.
“Hollow in the Tree” is the first of many releases to come… and build onto the original content the orchestra is touring!!
