Paavli․CLUB Festival One of the first acts we booked for the festival was Lander & Adriaan, a duo of Belgians consisting of Lander Gyselinck and Adriaan Van de Velde, who share a love for slick digital synths, drums and the underground of the 90s. It’s a live show like no other and best described as an elegantly disturbed mashup of Chicago juke, Detroit techno, UK funky and classic rave with hints corny jazz fusion combined with an improv touch bring you to a pleasant reality of guilty pleasures, sheer weirdness and pure excitement. “Post Nudism Rave” they call it, others call it “freerave”, “confusi-trance” and “sophisti-rave”. It’s a shiny 3D pixie fantasyland juxtaposed with a gritty dark smokey underworld full of slimy aliens and smelly trolls. You’ll be experiencing the quantumthrills of interplanetary ambient drones, frenzies of drums, saccharine melodies, mushy basslines, all gently weaved into raw sweat-drippy dance music. Uue aastatuhande sulamkultuuride mõjuväljas sirgunud mehed ristavad räppi drum’n’bass’iga ning grunge’i, funki ja psühhedeeliaga. Kui Kendrick Lamar, Childish Gambino, Sleaford Mods, Roni Size, Yves Tumor ja 90ndate uljaimad poistebändid otsiks ühist mantlipärijat, võiks see kõlada ja välja näha umbes nagu Deki Alem.
