We are excited to announce the kick-off of our new project PSG897, funded by Eesti Teadusagentuur! 🎉
This project aims to develop a novel, scalable, cognitive electronics based quality control system for electrospinning, a nanofiber fabrication technique with applications in tissue engineering, drug delivery, sensors, and more. 🧪👩🔬🧬
😱Electrospinning is a process that uses high voltage to create nanofibers from polymer solutions or melts. However, the quality of the nanofibers depends on many factors, such as the viscosity, concentration, and flow rate of the solution, the distance and angle of the spinneret, the humidity and temperature of the environment. Thus, a responsive, automated quality control solution is essential, particularly for multi-layer, multi-material elecrospun membranes.
