يوم ٥ نوفمبر في ساحة روابط هيكون عرضين رقص "عوالم" لعشتار معلم و"كيف بدأ الأرت" لمنير سعيد في نفس الليلة.
عشتار معلم بتستخدم فنون السيرك والمسرح والرقص لنقل رحلتها خلال العزلة ومنير سعيد هيعرض منظوره عن عالم الفن من خلال رقصه.
عشتار معلم هي فنانة متعددة المجالات الفنية من القدس تعمل على التقاطعات بين السيرك والرقص والمسرح. في عام ٢٠١٣، شاركت في إنتاج عرض بعنوان (B-Orders) مع فادي زمرد، عرض ثنائي من إنتاج السيرك الفلسطيني.
في عام ٢٠١٩، أنتجت عرضها الفردي (Enheduanna)، من إخراج إيمان عون مع مسرح عشتار في فلسطين.
منير سعيد فنان مقيم في القاهرة. شارك سعيد في برنامج تعليم الرقص لمدة 4 سنوات يسمى برنامج ورشة عمل القاهرة للرقص المعاصر (CCDWP) 2008-2011.
وفي عام ٢٠٠٩ حصل على جائزة التميز من دار الأوبرا المصرية لأول أعماله الفردية (اللعبة). حصل على برنامج زمالة فنية لمدة ٩ أشهر من أكاديمية (شلوس سوليتيود). وفي عام ٢٠٢١، شارك سعيد في بيناليه فينيسيا حيث قدم عملين فرديين وعرض جماعي.

On the 5th of November at Rawabet Art Space Ashtar Muallem will be performing "Cosmos" alongside Mounir Saeed with his performance "How ElFann Begins" on the same night.
Asthar Muallem combines theatre, dance, and circus arts in her performance to convey her personal journey during isolation while Mounir Saeed reflects on his personal observation of the art world.
Ashtar Muallem is a multidisciplinary artist from Jerusalem working on the intersection between circus, dance, and theatre. In 2013, she co-created B-Orders with Fadi Zmurrod, a duo performance produced by the Palestinian Circus.
Mounir Saeed lives and works in Cairo. Saeed Participated in a 4 year dance education program called Cairo Contemporary Dance Workshop Program (CCDWP) 2008-2011.
During the program, Saeed got the prize of excellence from Cairo Opera House in 2009 for his 1st solo (The Game). From 2020 to 2022 Saeed got an artistic fellowship for 9 months at Akademie Schloss Solitude. He also participated at La Biennale Di Venezia 2021 presenting two solos and a group performance.

Ridina Ahmedová will perform with a sampler that enables her to provide real time voice loops and layers. There are no musical instruments, just her voice. In addition to her solo concerts, Ridina is part of the award-winning duo HLASkontraBAS – nominated for the main Czech Anděl Awards.

من يوم ٣ ل٥ نوفمبر في ذا فاكتوري مي سعيفان هتقدم عرض "كيف أنا هون؟" اللي بيستخدم الواقع الافتراضي والذكاء الاصطناعي وتصميم الأحلام للتعبير عن تجربة مشاعر السوريين تجاه العودة للوطن.
مي سعيفان هي مصممة حركة وخبيرة في السياسات الثقافية. في عام ٢٠١١ بادرت بتقديم مشروع الأحلام، وركزت على الأحلام في وقت الطوارئ. ومشروعها أرشيف الأحلام ألهمها لتقديم ثلاثيتها، "دمار للمبتدئين"، والعرض التركيبي "سييستا"، والعرض التفاعلي "فحص الواقع".

From the 3rd to 5th of November, Mey Seifan's VR installation "How Am I Here?" which is a performance that employs VR technology and AI to reflect on the restless feelings about homecoming from the eyes of Syrians will happen at The Factory.
Mey Seifan is a choreographer and cultural policies expert. In 2011, she initiated the Dream Project, focusing on dreams in times of emergency. Her Dream Archive inspired the trilogy "Destruction for Beginners", the installation/performance "SIESTA", and the interactive performance "Reality Check".

Can the lives of dancers and construction workers corelate? Eman Hussein's "Smell of Cement" will take us on an exploration of how the physicality of performing arts is similar to that of construction work; both needing a great deal of movement, bodily discomfort, and repetition. Eslam Elnesbishy and Sarah Altherr's dance performance: "205 Questions About Dance" urges the audience to form questions of and through dance. How can we as spectators challenge dance as a medium and form of expression that has its own functionality and characteristics?

"Nini Ya Momo" is a Moroccan lullaby that is equivalent to "Ho Ninna Ho" in Egyptian Arabic. It is a traditional song that is sung by mothers to their children to lull them to sleep. The song is closely linked to Moroccan culture and values, such as social cohesion and family.
The performance, stage directed by Henri Jules Julien, unfolds to a sound composition created by Zouheir Atbane based on Moroccan lullabies collected from very old women in all corners of the country, speaking its many languages.
The performance is part of the D-CAF festival, during the eighth edition of Arab Arts Focus (AAF).
It will be performed on November 2 (in French/Arabic) , 4, and 5 (in Arabic/English)

أوديل سانكارا درست نظرية المسرح في جامعة واجادوجا قبل انضمامها لشركة أمادو بورو وهناك اشتغلت على أول إنتاجاتها المسرحية على مسرح إيمانويل جينفرين ميلينيوم سنة ٢٠٠١ ووصلت للعالمية سنة ٢٠٠٤ بعد عملها مع المخرج المسرحي المشهور جان لويس مارتينيلي.
أريستيد تارنجدا هو كاتب مسرحي ومخرج وممثل من بوركينا فاسو والمدير الفني لمهرجان ريكرتيترال في واجادوجو وألف أكتر من عشرين مسرحية و أخرج معظمهم.

Odile Sankara studied theatre theory at the University of Ouagadougou before joining the late Amadou Bourou's Compagnie Feeren, with whom she went on to make her professional stage debut in Emannuel Genvrin's Millenium in 2001. Her meeting with Jean-Louis Martinelli in 2004 propelled her to international fame.
Aristide Tarnagda is a playwright, director and actor from Burkina Faso. He directed Les Récréâtrales festival in Ouagadougou. Tarnagda is the author of over twenty plays and directs most of them.

Our Story
Downtown Contemporary Arts Festival (D-CAF) is Egypt’s first international multi-disciplinary contemporary arts festival.
The 8th edition of D-CAF (#DCAF19) will take place over three weeks from the 29th of March to the 20th of April 2019 at multiple venues in Downtown Cairo.
D-CAF includes local, regional and international music, theatre, dance, visual arts and film by cutting-edge artists from Egypt, the Arab world, and beyond. In addition to featuring established Downtown cultural spaces and theatres, D-CAF uses non-traditional sites such as historical buildings, storefronts, alleyways, and rooftops as sites for performances, events, and arts installations, with the aim of bringing audiences and performers to engage with the city in a new way.
With its diverse and first-rate programming, D-CAF aspires to become one of the most important annual Arab art events by reaching out to a broad spectrum of Egyptian audiences, creating bridges between Arab artists, international curators and programmers, as well as capitalising on Downtown Cairo’s unique cultural, social and architectural heritage. Furthermore, the D-CAF team seeks not just to bring the best in international contemporary culture to Cairo, but also to deliver a highly professional and well-publicised international festival.
