One of the most influential artists of all time, whose work has had a profound impact on architecture. Picasso's Cubism movement, which broke away from traditional perspective and representation, challenged architects to rethink the way they design buildings.
Cubist architecture is characterized by its bold geometric forms, fragmented planes, and multiple perspectives. It often creates a sense of dynamism and movement and encourages the viewer to see the building from all angles. Picasso's influence can also be seen in the work of many other architects, including Frank Gehry, Zaha Hadid, and Daniel Libeskind.

Today we celebrate the life and work of Dr. Abdelhalim Ibrahim.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Abdelhalim ventured into different projects around the world, collaborating with some of the world’s most renowned architects.
Dr. Abdelhalim stated that “rituals contain the configuration of the basic myth in its form and regenerates the content of the myth in its encounter”.
Dr. Abdelhalim engaged the local community in the design process, as he did with the Children’s Cultural Park in Cairo. This philosophy led him to receive the Aga Khan Award for Architecture in 1992. In 2020, he was awarded laureate of Tamayouz’s Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his commitment to architecture and his continued and unparalleled achievements.
