Double statue of Amenemhat III repurposed by Psusennes I.
These two figures, each with a heavy braided wig and a wide beard with parallel stripes, carry offerings of fish, birds and aquatic plants. They represent Pharaoh Amenemhat III in the form of the Nile god Hapi, bearer of food and life. The statue associates the reigning king with fertility and abundance.
The inscriptions engraved on the reverse and the reverse were added later, in the time of Psusennes I. In the 21st Dynasty, Psusennes I had the monument transported to Tanis, his new capital and burial place of the kings of that period.

The Ben Ben pyramid that has puzzled scientists for thousands of years and they have been unable to solve the mystery.
