Respifur
Composition:
Each vial contains:
Ceftiofur sodium 1.105 gm
Properties:
Respifur is the trade name of ceftiofur sod. a semisynthetic 3rd generation cephlosporins
It has a broad range of activity against a variety of pathogens, including many species of Pasteurella, Staplylococcus, Streptococcus, Salmonella, Hoemophilus and E.coli.
Ceftiofur is bactericidal antibiotic acts against susceptible bacteria. It acts by inhibiting mucopedtide synthesis in the cell wall resulting in a defective barrier and an osmotically unstable spheroplaste.
Uses:
Cattle - Horses
• Bovine respiratory disease (shipping fever, pneumonia) due to Past. Haemolytica, Past. Multocida and Haemophilus sommis.
• Respiratory infections in horses associated with Strept. Zooepidemicus.
Dosage:
In vial 1 gm: add sterile water for injection up to 20 ml to obtain a concentration of 50 gm Ceftiofur / mI (5%; W/v).
Cattle: 2.2 ml of the reconstituted product / 100 kg b.wt. daily by IM for 3 - 5 days.
Horses: 4.4 ml of the reconstituted product / 100 kg m.wt. daily by IM for 3 - 5 days.
Warning & precaution:
• Do not inject more than 10 ml in one site.
• Do not to be used in animals suffered from renal dysfunction.
Side effects:
• Non in the recommended dose. But large dose for long period may cause diarrhoea, hypersensitivity reactions.
Storage condition:
• Store at temperature 2 - 8 ° C and used immediately after reconstitution.

الماشيه: ٢.٢ مل/ ١٠٠ كجم من المحلول المخفف عضل لمده ٣-٥ ايام
الخيل : ٤.٤ مل/١٠٠كجم عضل لمده ٣-٥ ايام
التحذيرات:
لا يعطى اكثر من ١٠ مل فى المكان الواحد
طريقه الحفظ: يحفظ فى درجه حراره من ٢-٨ درجه و يستخدم مباشره بعد التخفيف.
