Implants can be placed at different depth levels depending on many factors, like:

=> Time of implant placement, if you’re going to place an immediate implant after extraction, it should be 3mm subcrestally.

=> If it’s a tissue level level implant or bone level implant with polished (machined) collar, they should be placed supracrestally.

=> If it’s a platform-switch implant, it can be placed at the level of the crest or from 1-2 mm subcrestally.

=> If the fixture and the abutment of the same diameter, it should be placed at the level of the crest or supracrestally.
