Montserrat is one of the most visited places in Catalonia, together with Barcelona of course! The Montserrat Monastery is not only significant for its religious importance, but the natural beauty surrounding the monastery is simply breathtaking. For many of our clients, the day trip to Montserrat is the highlight of their visit to Barcelona. ⛪️ The mountain range attracts nature lovers from all around the world. It will rarely get rainy in summer, so the sunny season is the perfect time to enjoy the beautiful and blue sky. ☀️ For the hikers there are some very interesting walks through the mountains where you can experience beautiful views. Especially, once you get to the top of the mountain, you will see amazing views of the Catalonian countryside. ⛰ We are looking forward to hosting you on our Montserrat and Wine country day tour that typically includes a visit to the iconic Monastery of Montserrat, a fantastic lunch of Catalan country cuisine in a traditional restaurant, and visiting a premier boutique winery and enjoying a generous tasting of their wines and cavas. 🍷

Here’s a taste of the historic event that happened in the heart of Barcelona last weekend! 45.000 people gathered and celebrated the “Living Architecture: Casa Batlló”. Waves of red, blue, and yellow pixels slided through the white box frame, which created an amazing web of colors and wavy forms. The artwork was carried out by the American media artist “Refik Anadol”, inspired by the iconic building designed by the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí. The new public art piece is even going to be on display outside Rockefeller Plaza on May 13th. Casa Batlló was built in 1877 by Gaudí in Passeig de Gràcia, one of Barcelona’s most famous streets. Thereafter, it was bought by the wealthy Batlló family. Initially, this family found the location of the building to be more important than its inspiring design, but ended up asking Gaudí to redesign it in 1904, making it even more unique.
