PRODUCERS IN THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY, ARE THE JOINT
PRODUCERS OF THIS PROJECT. Madrid, March 6th, 2012. – Ibiza 1 2 3 Rocktronic Festival was launched today at the
Me Hotel in Madrid. The festival will define Ibiza’s position as a major player in world
festivals. Carmen Ferrer (Tourism Councillor of Consell Balear), the
Honorable Mrs. Josefa Gutiérrez Costa (Mayoress of Sant Antoni), Pete Tong (Dj), Danny
Whittle (Pacha International Director) and Pino Sagliocco (Live Nation Chairman)
presented the festival and its line-up. IBIZA 123 is not only a festival of music, but rather it is the beginning of a movement
that will define the music scene for the next 10 years. It is a festival based around art,
music and new directions, and will take place in Ibiza on the 1st 2nd and 3rd July. Ibiza
is already known as the “capital of dance music”, the Festival will convert it into the
birthplace of “Rocktronic”. The underlying concept of the Festival is to bring together onstage the NEW STARS
(Tinie Tempah, Axwell, David Guetta, Fatboy Slim, Luciano, Pete Tong, Tiesto,
2manydjs, Wally Lopez, DJ Nano and JP Candela) with the REAL STARS ( the big names
from the worlds of pop and rock: Sting, Lenny Kravitz…). The two worlds will interact
together creating a new brand “rocktronic” concept. Ibiza 1 2 3 will take place on a large sea-front esplanade on a site that borders on and
takes in the same stunning sunset view as Café Mambo and Cafe del Mar. With a capacity
for 25,000 fans per night, it will include three concert zones, a beach zone, VIP
areas, restaurants, music and merchandising stores, and a special zone for press. Varied types of special entertainment will take place during the festival making it one
of the experiences of the summer. Apart from the concerts, DJ contests, master-classes
with the most important DJs …and of course, a huge exhibition of Ibiza culture and
products, will all feature. After show parties will take place all over the island.
