Go with your family. Go on a whim, to try a bucket-list restaurant, or because you really deserve to sip champagne in Champagne. Whatever your reason, these experiences give you plenty of ways to take it all in.
You’re not the only one who wants to jet off to Europe. “We’re seeing an uptick in clients going in the spring,” says Lux Voyage‘s Virgi Schiffino Kennedy. “Usually it’s a summer destination.” The loosening of COVID restrictions is a factor: You no longer have to deal with testing requirements when traveling to or from many European countries (or re-entering the U.S.). Airlines are increasing their flights per week, which had been limited during the pandemic. And the dollar is almost equal to the euro. “People want to take advantage of that and prepay for experiences,” Kennedy says. Regardless, she advises, buy travel insurance right away. It can cover the unexpected — like being too sick to dine at Noma. (It happened to her, but she was reimbursed thanks to her policy.) And once you’re there, travel slow: “It’s important to consider our environmental footprint, understand the culture, and be respectful.”

Hot air balloons gracefully gliding over Sonom Valley’s picturesque vineyards in the early morning hours is a common local delight. Landing in residential or commercial zones, while less common, has occurred at least three times since Jan. 24, bringing rainbow-colored balloons safely to the ground.
Jeff Spear, a pilot with Sonoma Ballooning, said these landings are typical when operating a hot air balloon this time of year.

EBF Igualada L'European Balloon Festival és una concentració internacional de globus aerostàtics que es va celebrar per primera vegada l'any 1997 a Igualada. Des d'aleshores s'ha consolidat com una competició i un festival de referència a nivell europeu.
The European Balloon Festival in Igualada is the biggest gathering of hot air balloons in Spain and welcomes around 25,000 visitors over four days the first fortnight of July. It's a meeting point, a competition and a festival in one, with more than 50 balloons taking to the air. Competitive flights take place early in the morning and at dusk, when conditions are ideal, and if you want a taste of the high life, balloon rides can be booked in advance. Fly among a mass of Balloons from several counties of the world.
But there's plenty to enjoy from ground level, whether it's the different skill challenges in the competition, live music, kids' activities and workshops, or the magical Night Glow event, in which balloons are fired up but don't take off, glowing like lanterns and accompanied by a fireworks display.
