👩‍🏫 Getting things in order over summer 👨‍🏫

This was simple observation, and yet gave us tons of good information! A whole uncooked egg, shell included, was placed in vinager, the result being watched and monitored by the class. This in turn raised questions, which of course were answered by...Science!!! 🤩

Science is fascinating, and when we can witness it firsthand, it truly rocks!

15 minutes, toilet paper rolls, colours, scissors, imagination, and a choice to make; fish or bird? 😉

Not bad for a short flight of fancy 😍

Today we had an inspirational speaker in class- Thomas de Bernede! He is a mentalist who travels all around the world doing shows 🤩

He wowed us all with his abilities. He read our minds, did card tricks, number tricks and dice ones too!
It was amazing!!! 🤯🤩

He also spoke to us about the importance of practice and dedication to one’s goals 🎯

All of us at The Bridge have been working extremely hard lately, some preparing and doing exams, the rest meeting deadlines 😅 Today we celebrated our resilience and adaptability by going out for a Japanese meal together 🎉🎊🎉🎊🎉
The food was yummy, but the best was the company 😍

Yay! We completed our three day mini Permaculture course 🎉

The students were able to put the design process to work trying woodwork and glasswork. 😍 results, a beautiful pallet table and some lovely glasswork ❤️
It was a great experience! 🌟

On Tuesday we learned about patterns in nature, quality of soil, compost and natural water filters for a Safreix. We learned lots and luckily didn’t get rained on 👏👏

The last few weeks have been, of necessity, an academic flurry...and it shows 😉 sometimes we can't even figure out where our graphs begin or end 😅😆
So much to do, so little time....but there's light at the end of the tunnel, and the summer holidays are nearly here! 🎯

It is amazing how much can be squeezed out of fifteen minutes!!! Those of us in the midst of exams know this all too well 😅

On the lighter side, how creative can you get with paper, scissors, glue, and a mere fifteen minutes?

Being well-grounded also means understanding one is part of something bigger than oneself. Life can be challenging to navigate, and perspective comes in handy! Nothing like a little research into our solar system to bring that about 😉

Yesterday we had an amazing inspirational speaker, Caterina Amengual! 🤩
Scientist, teacher, activist, expert on water, ecology, and sustainability, she is such an inspirational example of knowledge and practical action 🌍
Thank you ! It was a priviledge to have you in class!

Task: with a given measure of tin foil, make an animal 🐊🐑🦫🐍🦕🐉 A finished product must be handed in within 15 minutes! 😅

Quite a challenge if one is a perfectionist and tends to get stuck in the 'paralysis of analysis' 😉

In an exercise of lateral thinking our students were challenged into drawing half a heart ❤️ then making it part of...something else!
We are so pleased with all the cool examples of out of the box thinking created 🤩

Spring is in the air, we've made our Easter crafts, and we're off for Easter break 🌼🪻🌻 🤩

Brushing up on our scientific process! This experiment involved discovering what the optimum enzyme temp was, what was too cold, too hot, and figuring out terms such as 'denatured' , 'dependent' and 'independent variables' 🤔🧐
Science is so much fun! 🤩

Here's to bringing focus into our lives! Dot Art is a fabulously creative way of doing just that, and one can just scratch the surface, or take it as far as one wants🤩
Every little dot matters when it comes to shaping the bigger picture!

What lies beneath the darkness? Scratch Art allows us to dispel the shadows and bring to light the beauty within. We just touched on this activity today, and found it great fun! 🖍🖍🖍

This heart is made up of everything we love, from kittens to friends to yummy food! 😍

As we move toward exam season, it's okay to feel overwhelmed🫣
We do have some fun ways of dealing with it, though 😉
Today we created some Exam Monsters, and had a good time bringing our fears into the light, and transforming them into something rather unique 😍

Yesterday we enjoyed some really delicious food and welcomed the year of the Dragon together. Happy Chinese New Year! 🎉🎊🎉🎊🎉🎊

Cool engineering challenge carried out by The Bridge students, which put together an awareness of relative position and motion, besides being a fun activity to do....and watch 😆 building a marble run!!! 🤩

All teams had the same resources: 1 marble, 20 toilet rolls, scissors, cardboard, and the same amount of tape...interesting to see the different designs the kids came up with to cover the height and movement specs required! Well done, all 😍

Yet another tradition at The Bridge, our annual painting of cups, in which we can sip our warm tea or cool water from while we work 🍵.
Stacking functions here, honing fine motor skills and channeling creativity while fulfilling a practical need ✅️✅️✅️ 🤩

Fantastic day today at The Bridge with our First Aid course! 🤩
Chris was a great, entertaining, and patient teacher, he made sure concepts were explained thoroughly and any doubts cleared, making good use of some cool teaching tools.
Thank you Chris! The course was really engaging and hands-on, with great practical exercises.

What a wonderful start to the year 🤩

It is said it takes a lot of history to make even a small tradition, which is probably why tradition is so powerful. It grounds us, it represents a shimmering, connecting thread of memories travelling in time, through ancestors, family trees, countries, nations, cultures, values. So many lives lived!
At The Bridge we have a small tradition; every year we get a different ornament for the tree 🎄
