Since 2015 Beatriz has worked exclusively as a Spanish contemporary artist from her home studio. Dibujo, pintura y collage.
She exhibits regularly and has works in private collectors´ homes both national and internationally. I make figurative collages composed of paint, paper and other materials as fabric. And who is behing this?
My paintings are often about landscapes both real and emotional. I feel that my work being so close to abstract implies that the viewer who is enjoying my paintings bring something of themselves to the final work. It is how they engage with their own imagination while they are looking into a painting that completes the work.
My main inspiration is to watch and reflect on the changes that the light and the seasons make to the landscape that surrounds me. My style is impresionist: colour, texture and solid but loose strokes that are appreciated best close to the canvas. The large majority my work is oil on canvas.
