Your Niche Should Be Not Too Broad and Not Too Narrow.🧐

When you find out what market you want to serve and what solution you will provide with your services and digital products, make sure that your target market & the problem you solve aren’t both too narrow.🧠

It’s best to have a wide target market with a very niche problem you solve or a niche target market with a wider range of problems you solve.

It will enable you to be the go-to expert that either solves one specific problem for many or serves a specific group of people supporting them in many ways.

You need to list down your target market and the problem you solve and reevaluate it multiple times. It needs to be short and super clear. Experiment with this statement until you feel that it is the best fit for you.

My target market is ___, and I help them with ____.

👉For example, My target market is beauty brands in Ireland, and I help them with social media management.👈

When you know whom you target & what problem you solve, it is critical to dig deeper and find out everything you possibly can about your ideal client.

Be honest and try to imagine what would happen if you accidentally found your Instagram account on the hashtags' page. Would you follow yourself? 🤔

If the answer is negative, or if it's not a confident yes, you should consider rebranding or changing your content strategy, so your profile & every piece of content resonates with your target audience.🎯⠀

Even the smallest change can bring noticeable results.⠀

Keep in mind that your target audience is very similar to you. It has the same values and, ideally, the same point of view as you do.

They also might have the same struggles you had in the past and they are looking up to you because they expect you to provide the solution for their struggles. 👥👥⠀

Your goal is to make them aware of you, to make them follow you, then trust you and eventually buy from you. You cannot have one without the other. ⠀

Here are some things you should be paying attention to:

🧠 If you cannot decide what to change in your profile, ask your followers. They will be more than happy to be involved in your decision-making process. You can conduct a short survey on IG stories.

🧠 Have some examples ready (let’s say a new post design) and ask on IG stories which one they prefer.

🧠 Listen carefully to their questions and create content that addresses their doubts. Do not post what you think they need. Post what they actually need. Talk after you listen first.

🧠 Find a similarity between you and your target audience, ideally some obstacle. Share your experience and give a solution to overcome it. It could be talking into a camera, struggling to find new customers, lack of motivation, self-confidence, etc.

🧠 Position your values clearly, so you attract your dream clients who think, feel and communicate like you. In other words, be yourself.

I don't need you to answer the question of whether you would follow yourself or not, it's a rhetorical question!

User-generated content is considered content marketing gold.🥇

And the reason is that 85% of people find it more persuasive than brand content & images.

Is this reason not enough to start generating user content for your brand? 🤯

Then here is more. 66% of people trusting consumer opinions posted online, and 83% of people 'completely' or 'somewhat' trust recommendations from people they know.

This means that if somebody shares a picture or IG story with your product and brand name tagged on it, 83% of the network of that person will trust their recommendations.👥

To make UGC work for your brand, you need to identify what your audience likes to share and then ask them to share it.

Don't be afraid to use your creative mind & take some ideas from this post.

If you want to level up your social media strategy, you should repost user-generated content to build trust and social proof both to your feed & your stories.

This type of curated content showcases your product in a real-life context, this way helping build a more engaging community.

🙋"MY PROFILE DOESN'T GROW & I DON'T MAKE ANY SALES ON INSTAGRAM".

Are you sure that you did everything you could to change the game?

No, it is not enough to post promotional content a few times per month. No, it is not enough to post stories once a week. 🙆

First, you could try these daily steps for 3 months, and see if there are any changes:

🧠Always answer all the DMs and have genuine conversations with your prospects.

🧠Engage at least 1hour per day with your followers, people who follow you, and your prospects in the hashtag pages.

🧠Post to stories every day & show your face often. I understand if you don't want to show up, but if you do, it makes your business grow faster over time. 2021 is no longer a year to hide your business under the faceless logo.

🧠 Always use a call to action in your posts and stories.

🧠 Post consistently. It doesn't mean that you need to post every day. But if you decide to post 3-4 times per week, make sure to stick to it.

Of course, the reason that your profile doesn't grow and that you are not getting any sales could be that you don't have a strategy in place, your content is not aligned with your purpose and you don't know how to target your audience. Or... You are not patient enough. ☺

If you don't invest in your business, it can cost you sales. 💸

You should think about how much you are willing to invest in marketing every month to get your business off the ground. How much time, and how much $. ⏳

But most importantly, before marketing your business on social media, you need to have a foundation of your business and a strategy based on how much time and budget you have.

One of the most common questions I receive from small business owners is:

👩‍⚖️I just launched my business, but nobody is buying from me. But why?

And then follows my question:

👩‍💻How do you market your products? Do you have a strategy in place?

98% of the time the answer is:

👩‍⚖️ NO, I have no idea how to promote my business. Can you help me?

The reality is that people won't come and buy from you if you just create your website, an Instagram account, post a few promotional posts, sit and wait. Why should they buy from a new brand if they don't trust you yet?

Keep in mind, that there are thousands of small businesses out there that offer the same product/ service as you.

So you need to build brand awareness first if you want to be known as one of your industry players. It is all about letting them know that you exist and why you are better than the competition. 🙋

One of the biggest mistakes small businesses make on Instagram is selling directly all the time they post. 💸⠀

Also, not being creative and just throwing a flat image of a product, instead of showing a product in action with a user. ⠀

In your life, you probably want to maintain a healthy work-life balance. The same, you need to find the balance between promotional & valuable content on social media. ⚖️⠀

Don't get me wrong, when you post valuable content, you still sell, just indirectly. You also establish a connection with your potential buyers. ⠀

I always say that in small business accounts, there should be around 80% of valuable content of your audience's interests and 20% directly talking about sales. This method applies to almost every industry. 💡⠀

The secret to getting into your potential client's mind and heart is understanding their interests, desires, problems, and challenges on a deeper level. ⠀

And you can achieve this by connecting with them and talking about the topics of their interests. They can be related to your business or non-business related but should highlight similarities between you and your audience.🛍️⠀

👉EXAMPLE 1. If you are a mom and you are in the beauty industry, your target audience potentially is women. They might also have kids or day-to-day responsibilities only women can relate to. 👩‍👧‍👦⠀

So why not bring up the topic and talk about mom's responsibilities with your audience? About self-care and why it is essential for a busy mom or every woman. This way, you can indirectly talk about your beauty products or services as a solution. ⠀

👉EXAMPLE 2. If you are a hairdresser, you could talk about choosing the right hair products, about safe and harmful ingredients, how to take care of dry hair in the wintertime, etc. Share your expertise, and they will trust you.⠀

Remember that you do not only sell your products. You sell a solution to their problems. Or, in other words, the transformation. So educate them, inspire them, entertain them, and this way sell indirectly more than you do directly. ☺️

To promote your products and services effectively, you need to know your target audience inside and out. 📈

Creating a Buyer's Persona will enable you to have a deeper understanding of your potential clients and to see the world from their perspective. Therefore, you will be able to communicate effectively and speak with your offer directly to your audience. 🙋

Keep in mind that you can create a few personas of your buyers, as there are different groups of people buying from you. Each segment might have a different persona.

However, you should clearly define your target audience you want to focus your marketing efforts. They are the people who are most likely to be interested in your content, products, or services.

I grew up helping my father with his grocery store and during my whole life saw ups and downs of running a small business. Maybe that is why I care about helping small businesses so much.☺️

Besides that, I want to make a positive change in small business owners lives and change the perception that social media is just a marketplace.

My goal here is to teach them social media marketing strategies to be ahead of their competition. I also want to be location-independent as I am still planning on moving to Spain and travel once this craziness is over. That is my why.🧠

But how did I discover my “why”? Since I was a teenager, I was interested in the entrepreneurship world, but I didn't have a clear vision for a long time.🤷

Once I discovered my real passion, social media marketing, I had to gain work experience and changed a few roles in PR, marketing, and sales. But I always felt trapped and had to do things that I do not believe were effective or even were against my beliefs.

What is more, most of the time, my innovative ideas and insights on what could be improved in the company were not appreciated enough. Owners and managers just didn't want to make necessary changes.

I had a vision of a better workplace and better relationships with customers. Relationships when your customers feel appreciated, and when you go the extra mile to make changes if you know that they will value it. 🙏

Everything suddenly changed once the first quarantine in Ireland happened, and I lost my job. It was the time I realized that I want to turn my passion into something that has a purpose in helping others. It was the time everything fell into place.💫

Of course, during the quarantine, I had plenty of time to improve my knowledge, plan, and research my business from scratch.

I didn't feel ready then, and I don't feel completely ready now. Probably will never be. But my purpose is bigger than my fears.💛
