Latest pool reform on La Cala Javea, and another re-grout on the Montgo just completed. All pipes pressure tested, existing tiles and render coats removed, renewed render along with new flexible waterproof coating. Step edges reprofiled to remove sharp corners and new green mosaics laid. The retile was completed in 10 days and the re-grout in under a week. A few more days drying and the water can go in to both. A complete pool reform on Gata Residential. Client advised of significant water loss over the last summer and into the Autumn. Initially pipework tested and all proved to be OK, holding good pressure. Skimmer and bottom drain thoroughly inspected for possible failure/ageing, again all good. The next step was to remove all mosaics, suspecting a structural issue; but again we or indeed the client could see no evidence of cracking or movement in the pool shell. A complete render to the pool shell was the next process, followed by two coats of Mapelastic two-part waterproofing system, then a complete re-tile and grout. La Lluca, Javea. A recently completed terrace extension, new tiling and re-profiled staircase, new contrasting pool edge tiles and dark blue water-line mosaics along with 60m of new railings.

Construction and re-build completed in around 8 weeks, on schedule and under original estimate; additional works to a lower apartment with new windows in the coming weeks to complete the project.

A recent custom made pedestrian entrance gate, with a plasma cut-out design. These can be created with almost any image, wording or design. Another pool and terrace reform coming to completion in La Guardia, Javea. A big project here with coronation removal,160m2 of new terrace tile and new mosaics to the pool. The existing circular steps re profiled and planters constructed; a re-located and re-plumbed pump house with new variable speed pump and Bayrol auto dosing chemical system installed. Outside a heated shower finished with travertine stone along with a separate lounging area, again finished in travertine stone. Latest generation of variable speed pool pump installed this week. This pump is running at summer filtration speed, on a large community pool with a power consumption of only 449W per hour; the unit it replaced was running1.46kW, so a 71% overall reduction in electricity costs. Out of season this consumption can be reduced further to less than 200W per hour. These pumps are particularly relevant for larger community pools and environments where long running hours can rack up significant electricity bills, smaller domestic versions are equally frugal. The pump can be installed into any existing pumphouse and is matched to the required m3 per hour through-put. The panel includes the timer control and can be locked and then password protected to stop tampering!

Another pool made shallower with a bench seat installed, a community pool reform at Gata Residential, 3 pools saved just before a retile was needed and another emptied of 2 years + of debris. New pumps and filters, sand to glass filter changes and complete terrace clean. Latest generation of LED lights fitted during this pool reform; these units are encased in resin at the time of manufacture, there are no seals or glands that can leak and allow water into the housing causing premature failure. In excess of 120 of these lamps fitted in the past 2 years and not a single failure to date. An additional benefit is that they each consume 35w of power in comparison to the 300w of the conventional halogen units; they are available in both warm and cold white light. The works on this pool included replacement of a failed chlorine corroded flexi pipe at the skimmer, an acid clean and re-grout (re-grout number 27 this year), service of the pump bearings and a new filter with glass media.
