The letter intends to be useful not only for sailors but also for other guests of the event. In addition to information about the regatta harbour and other practicalities, the letter includes e.g. information about spectator boat and regatta dinner opportunities. Some hints to visitor attractions in the Hanko area are given too.

We have already around hundred individual sailors entered to Open Week and Worlds in Hanko this summer – and late entries are still accepted. With such a high number of sailors, smooth inspection process is essential.

Fortunately, every sailor can influence smoothness of the inspection process by preparing themselves, as well as their equipment, appropriately beforehand.

Chief measurer of the Europe class, Andre Haufe, has put together an instruction document for inspection preparations. Please follow those guidelines to ensure smooth inspections this season – and to secure time for more convenient activities than waiting in the inspection queue. Thanks for everyone for your collaboration already in advance.

This year it also will be possible to provide your inspection entry form and measurement documents in advance by email – so that you can save time at the station 1 during the inspections. We will provide further instructions regarding this option closer to the event itself.
