"Bellota" is the Spanish word for "acorn" and it represents a special quality here in Mallorca. The finest Spanish pork (ibérico bellota) comes from free-range pigs, which feed almost exclusively on acorns during the last few months of their rearing. The natural keeping and feeding of the animals gives the meat a special aroma and texture.
