We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all of you for your unwavering support. By the grace of God, we successfully journeyed to Debre Sina last Wednesday, where we had the incredible opportunity to meet and connect with 50 underprivileged children and their families. It was a truly blessed experience that filled our hearts with joy.

To bring even the tiniest bit of happiness to another human being is truly one of life's greatest blessings.

We are thrilled to share just a few photos from our trip and excited to announce that we will be hosting a livestream update on Thursday, August 3rd.

Love is the most subtle force on earth.

Upward Ethiopia (UE) in conjunction with Zuriel Ministries (ZM) is setting out to reach the unreached in Ethiopia. To bring holistic transformation to the impoverished and war-torn communities across the nation. The tribal disputes in the nation have caused many to be displaced, and to live in a constant state of upheaval, instability and poverty. UE seeks to bring hope to the hopeless, and establish long term intervention in order to foster holistic change. Change in the form of education, medicine, sanitary practices, guidance & counselling, to bring about holistic health and wellbeing along with economic growth and opportunities. This change starts with the individual and will then ultimately spread to the community, but in order to do this - we need your support.

By working together we can truly bring lasting change to the nation. Our current mission is on a very tight schedule and an equally tight budget, and are therefore reaching out to you to help stand in the gap and play an integral and invaluable role in becoming a part of this legacy of change in the lives of these children and families.

The current project is in Debre Sina, and requires upfront finance and provision from those willing to assist. This is 'Phase 1' of the initiative, 'Meeting the Kids'. 'Phase 2' will be a fundraising event held on the 27th (if all goes according to plan), and 'Phase 3' and 'Phase 4' will be announced at a later stage, so please keep your ear to the ground if you believe in the work we are doing.

Phase 1 | Description
75 highly vulnerable children have been identified and are waiting for us in Debre Sina. We need to raise a nominal and initial ~US$ 640 in the next 5 (FIVE) days: to help with transport (to get the team to Debre Sina by 26 July), to provide activities on the day, and to distribute prepared food parcels to the families. This will be an introductory visit where UE will meet and discuss the way forward with the officials in the area.
