Hey everyone! Just a little over a week until the amazing Halloween party in Joensuu! Fiktio is taking over Kerubin sali for long time, with Halloween rave madness set to explode the dance floor! This time, special guest stars include the top-notch DJ/producer Nebula Meltdown bringing a psychedelic twist and very talented DJ Lady D bringing the rhythmic vibes of Drum and Bass. This overwhelming social media life; it bears an impact on my mental health for sure. Being a DJ, the struggle to define what it means today adds confusion. Playing allows me to get lost in the music, feel happiness, be present, and express my love for the genre I’m mad about, which I’ve never felt before, but it falls short on its own. Being a mom and making moments with my kids, ensuring I’m there, taking care of their needs, time slips away, leaving little for networking and draining my energy. Not to mention, giving back to the scene is quite hard at the moment. This even adds the guilt of not giving it my all. The persistent feeling of not being good enough, not having time, adds a challenge to figuring out where I truly belong in this journey of self-discovery. Between 2007 and 2023, my hair has been on quite a transformation journey. If you know me, you'll understand that I enjoy switching up my hairstyles – it's my way of expressing myself. What people think and say inna a world of "who's a REAL DJ" The debates and arguments that go on its like being in playschool at times. I stay out!
